Our healthcare is a mess because it's not fully privatized or fully socialized: it's a horrible hybrid system that takes the worst aspects of both of them & mashes them together. I personally think a fully privatized system would be best, but I'd gladly settle for a fully privatized system over what we have right now.

@hajime20250823 Yeah, so part of the USA's fascination with Japan and part of why it seems "futuristic" to us is with how "well behaved" and "trusting" you are of eachother. The reality is the American system creates an economic underclass and encourages savagery so we can't have nice things.
