Following the medical emergency that took place in the second half of yesterday's match, Blackpool Football Club is deeply saddened to report the news of the passing of supporter Graham Sharman.

Massive massive MASSIVE win! Horrible game, horrible ref, horrible opposition who came for a point by play acting and time wasting from the get go. Didnt matter how we did it, we just needed to win. Now we’ve given ourselves a chance. On to Friday 🍊

@bwfc_elliot Lack of effort and basic errors due to lack of concentration are on them as players. Whether Evatt is the right fit for us is up for debate. He wouldn’t have been my first choice. We’ve been on a steady decline for a number of years now. Problems run deeper than the manager

@dseddon2 They had a bad manager and gave up. Then he was replaced by another bad manager that was incapable of getting the players buying into a new system, which btw is quite an easy job for a good manager

Honeyman was right midweek. I’ve never seen a group of players so soft and so devoid of any fight. Evatts system may be crap but that doesn’t excuse these so called professionals being so poor week in week out. The team who recruited them are culpable. What a failure all round

@bwfc_elliot I accept your point but these players gave the same level of effort when we played 4-4-2 earlier in the season under a different manager. Sometimes you have to look at them as well. They aren’t digging in or fighting. That being said his system is stifling us, we can all see it

@dseddon2 Yes it does actually. When players are playing in a system that they have no belief in then it's inevitable they'll look extremely poor

Tell you what as well, Ravizzoli mustn’t be fit for Sunday league if he can’t get a look in over Peacock-Farrell. Absolutely dire

@DamianCough Yes absolutely. Every decision we could’ve got wrong we have. Top to bottom it’s been a shambles but signs were there after Critch v1 and it’s been a steady decline since.

@dseddon2 It's been an absolute nightmare of a season. I'll be glad when it's over. An utter failure by the club on every level.

Out of our hands now. We don’t look capable of winning enough games to stay up. What an awful season from start to finish

@cooksleft He might play at least 5 games in that time to manage his toes

It's not all gloom though. Our masterful recruitment team have got Big Mike tied down for 2 more years. See. It's all fine. Stop panicking.

@Nxozane_ Evatt will rightly claim they aren’t “his” players but his reluctance to adapt isn’t helping us at all. The environment won’t be a great one currently. Those 2 in boardroom have overseen a general decline since they came in so a change is required there as a minimum.

@dseddon2 Maybe. We can't see what's going on behind the scenes, but it's obvious the players have a horrible environnement that can't allow them to be the best version of themselves, or even a decent one. They're still pros. Evatt looks very toxic and downes, winter and co aren't better

I look at our squad and think who can I identify and connect with as what we know as a Blackpool type player. Who gets it like we do? I’m struggling… That’s how Downes & co have got it so wrong. They don’t “get” our club or what we stand for. That is reflected in our recruitment

@Nxozane_ The getting it bit is about the effort translated on the pitch, that’s all we expect. Honeyman gives us effort, I respect him and can get behind players like him. Not many others can hold their head up and say the same. That’s what I’m on about.

@dseddon2 I get being passionate about playing for the club, but "getting it" doesn't mean anything. Honestly, watch the honeyman interview and dare say that this man doesn't care ? He's shaking like a leaf like he's about to faint. Meanwhile our coach who "gets it" is blowing himself

@TrottersBlog I don’t doubt he could be a good manager and has proved that elsewhere, but we were told about his rigidity and being married to this god awful system and it is killing us. These players have been culpable all season but he’s not helped and we’ve gone backwards if anything

Is this what a few months under Evatt does to a man?..

@Nxozane_ As in we’ve signed a load of mercenaries that don’t give one. Players like Jerry Yates got what it meant to play for this club, his performances reflected that. This lot don’t care at all. We’ve signed players purely off stats and data rather than who would be a good fit for us

Playing for a draw at home in a relegation 6 pointer really paying dividends now eh? Evatt not helping himself. It’s like Critchley v2 with his rigid system that is killing us. Recruitment has been terrible (Ennis aside). Can’t say we don’t deserve to go down. We absolutely do

@BISONS1973 The players should be good enough but not in this system. We are so defensively fragile with this way of playing and we also don’t create anything. What’s Evo got to lose by swallowing his pride and changing it up? We’re sleepwalking down to L2

@dseddon2 I agree. But the players aren’t good enough for this division. It’s inevitable we’re for the drop.
