I was 19, dickmatized by this dusty ass dude who lived 4 hours away. Told me I was “the one” every night on the phone while he was out cheating. One day I emptied my account and booked a ride, showed up at his door in a corset top and bum shorts and heels with a bottle of wine and rose petals in my bag like a whole porn fantasy. He opens the door… and his baby mama is sitting on the couch breastfeeding their 3-month-old. I’m standing there half-naked, petals falling out my purse, looking like a whole desperate side chick. He tries to play it off like “babe this isn’t what it looks like” while the baby starts crying. I still let him take me to the back room and hit it because “I drove all this way and I love him.” Two pumps, he nuts, rolls over and says “you should probably leave before she gets mad.” I had to walk past her doing the walk of shame with absolutely nothing in my account to get me back home😭

The massive urge to block the word peptide from my twitter feed. On one hand I won’t be annoyed 1000 times a day. On the other hand I won’t be able to keep warning people that the fastest way to go broke is by chasing this trend. Maybe I just block the word now and comeback in 6 -12 months to unblock it and see all the people on the timeline who invested every last dollar into getting zero sales. Want to start a peptide company? Ok you will fall into two buckets. 1. You think your idea is revolutionary so rely on organic sales that will never come. Your friends buy a few things to make you feel better but that’s all the sales you will ever see. 2. You make a generic site and rely on paid traffic and have to spend $600+ to acquire a customer at $100 and hope that customer to stay on for 6+ months so you can break even. They won’t stay because they get bombarded with cheaper prices from the 1000 peptide sites popping up each day. PS I don’t want to sound like a hypocrite as I’m in this space but …. I know how to get sales. I can sell poop in a bag at scale on Facebook and Google for $1,000 a bag. You couldn’t give away a peptide for free on Facebook and Google. Maybe I’ll start a peptide consulting firm. You pay me $10,000 and I give you all the reasons to save $500,000.
Nikhil Krishnan@nikillinit

I get so many pitch decks now for peptide companies now and basically all of them 1) exclusively focus on their customer acquisition costs, their UGC/video content including AI generated marketing pipelines, and affiliate marketing strategy 2) talk about how fast their turnaround time is to patients and how broad their catalog of peptides are 3) do not talk at all about monitoring patients post prescription 4) they all say they work with the top suppliers to provide legitimacy but don't really have a clear methodology for how they're doing this (esp with so many steps between securing the in ingredient, to shipping, to compounding) I understand why peptides are popular - but I don't think having more companies who effectively are marketing/dropshipping companies while offloading liability and adverse events to the doctors is the right direction for healthcare

The global advertising industry spends $740 billion a year renting attention from people who don't trust them The average American sees 10,000 ads per day and ignores basically all of them And there are people right now manufacturing trust synthetically with AI for $60/month that converts 10-50x better than any ad ever made… This is going to sound insane but let me walk you through it because once you see the math you can't unsee it Advertising has always worked the same way You pay to interrupt someone. You hope they remember you. Maybe 1-2% of them click. Maybe 0.1% of them buy You're renting attention from a platform and most of that money evaporates the second the campaign ends Trust works differently When someone you trust recommends a product, your brain doesn't process it through the skepticism filter. It processes it the same way it processes advice from a friend The conversion rate on a trusted recommendation vs a paid ad for the identical product is 10-50x higher Same product. Same price. Completely different psychological pathway This is why influencer marketing exploded in 2016-2020. A person you "know" telling you to buy something converts way better than a banner ad The product didn't change. The trust layer changed But influencer marketing had a problem The trust was attached to a real human That human could only make so much content. Could only be in one niche. Could only maintain one audience And the human was a liability. Scandals, burnout, bad takes, asking for more money, going quiet for 3 weeks because they went through a breakup For the first time ever you can now manufacture that same trust without the human An AI character that posts every day with the same face, same voice, same kitchen, same personality builds the exact same parasocial bond in the viewer's brain that a real person does The brain doesn't fact-check whether a face is real It just runs the pattern: familiar face + shows up consistently + gives useful advice = trusted person I know this sounds theoretical so let me make it concrete I know someone running a fake AI grandmother on Instagram. Health tips niche. She posts 3 times a day. Same face every video. Same voice. Same setting 800K followers The audience sends her DMs asking for personal advice. They comment "thank you grandma this helped so much 🙏" on every video She's not real. She was built on a laptop. Total cost to run her: $60/month in AI tools She did $19,000 in affiliate commissions last month A real influencer with a similar audience size in the same niche would charge a brand $15,000-$30,000 per month for sponsored content. And the brand would be taking on all the human risk The AI character costs $60/month, works every single day, never has a bad take, and actually converts better because the content looks organic instead of sponsored (btw the reason AI characters convert better than real influencers right now is because the content looks like a normal person giving advice in their kitchen. It doesn't trigger the ad filter in your brain. A real influencer holding a product with perfect lighting and a discount code? Your brain flags that as sponsored content in half a second and the trust drops. The AI grandmother just seems like a nice woman who likes turmeric) Now scale this One operator can run 10, 20, 50 of these characters simultaneously. Different niches. Different audiences. Different revenue streams Each one costs $60/month and generates $2,000-$20,000/month depending on the niche That's a portfolio of synthetic trust generating revenue 24/7 The advertising industry spends $740 billion renting attention that disappears the second you stop paying for it Manufactured trust is an ASSET that compounds Every day the character posts, the bond deepens. Every day the bond deepens, the audience buys more And unlike an ad campaign, you own it. Nobody can take it away The character doesn't quit. Doesn't renegotiate. Doesn't get poached by a competitor She just posts and earns and posts and earns The first companies that figure out that $60/month in synthetic trust outperforms $50,000/month in advertising are going to gut the entire industry from the inside TikTok Shop already proved it. $20 billion in sales last year, almost entirely through creator recommendations Conversion rate 4-8x higher than paid ads for the same products Now replace the creator with AI That's the $740 billion arbitrage. And it's wide open right now because most companies still think the only way to reach customers is to rent attention from Google and Meta We built $70M in product sales through manufactured trust. If you want to see how the system works, DM me "ap3x"
