Today’s poem is by Abdukhebir Qadir Erkan. He grew up in Khotan, in the south of China’s #Uyghur region, & in 2016 left to study in Egypt. In ‘17, word spread that Uyghurs in Egypt would be deported to certain detention in China, & Erkan left for Turkey, where he now studies. 1/2
