@ateeztxt99 I don't think you understand as a European why Americans refusing to learn how to pronounce ethnic Chinese names and throwing around all sorts of excuses not to is extremely racist to *us* and our experiences aren't the same at all actually.

@elevwan My students cant pronounce my name and I've taught them many many times and theyll double down on the wrong pronunciation. My coworkers also haven't bother learning it and in fact spelt my name wrong for 2 years. It would be unwise to call them racist for these reasons

People hating on her but I can understand. If a sound isnt in your language sometimes it will be impossible for you to ever hear it. Ive been an english teacher in korea for 5 years and my students cant say my name despite many attempts to teach them.

@elevwan @wumujinki @heeseungkwans Are you actually retarded? The x sound is a z when it starts a word in the American accent. So “Zowjun” makes sense using the English x sound. What’s not fucking clicking?
