Finland is aiming to go carbon neutral in 15 years. They're creating jobs by boosting #renewables and saving trees. Its CO2 emissions have already dropped 21% since 1990s levels. We have the solutions, let's speed it up and implement them. #ActOnClimate #climate #energy #vote

NOBODY KNOWS HOW FUCKED THE SITUATION IN THE PERSIAN GULF ACTUALLY IS. 3,200 ships are TRAPPED in the Persian Gulf right now. Crews are running out of drinking water. One ship called the local port authority and BEGGED for permission to dock — just to get water. They were DENIED. 💀 Let that sink in. These aren't military ships. These are commercial vessels — carrying oil, grain, electronics — with civilian crews who are now stranded with NO supplies and NO way out. – 3,200 ships STUCK ⚠️ – Crews running out of WATER 💀 – Port authorities REFUSING to let them dock ⚠️ – Multiple ships reporting the SAME situation 💀 ⚠️ For context — the Suez Canal crisis in 2021 blocked 400 ships. This is EIGHT TIMES worse. And nobody is talking about it. They're showing you missile interceptions and oil price charts. They're NOT showing you thousands of crew members slowly running out of drinking water in the middle of a war zone. If these ships start getting abandoned, the environmental disaster alone would be catastrophic. Thousands of tons of fuel, cargo, chemicals — just sitting there. This is not a shipping disruption. This is a HUMANITARIAN CRISIS unfolding in real time. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨 X is hiding this. Follow + RT before it disappears. 🔥

@DoctorVive @Princeton The whole idea behind beccs is bizarre. Chopping down forests, burning the wood and burying the CO2 to reduce CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Just leave the forests alone ffs

🚨In a preprint, researchers from @Princeton, Hong Kong U, & WRI find that the form of carbon removal called "bioenergy w carbon capture & storage," or BECCS, is "likely to produce higher emissions for decades than natural gas without carbon capture." Yet the IPCC... 🧵

5G is devastating for Bees In 2023, scientists found “sharp” increases of wireless into a bee’s brain and vital organs from specific frequencies. This exposure could “cause a violation” of important functions such as orientation, communication sensing.#tab-1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">wildlifeandwireless.org/science/#tab-1

Here's an update through January, 2026, on the Earth Energy Imbalance (EEI) expressed as "Hiroshimas per Second" (HpS). The 12-month running average EEI is now just over 12 HpS, which comes out to about 1,040,000 (1.04 million) Hiroshimas per day.

Tucker Carlson asked Joe Kent why the Thomas Crooks surveillance tapes haven’t been released. Kent’s answer blew him away. He explained the government deliberately withholds information to create noise with conspiracy theories, so the “actual question never gets answered.” TUCKER: “The current president was the subject of a near-successful assassination attempt.” “And we’re just not going to look into very obviously or divulge information that everyone knows they have.” “For example, the surveillance tape from the shooting range at which Thomas Crooks trained, because it would answer the question, was he training with somebody?” “And if so, who? They have that footage, and they won’t release it. What could possibly be the explanation for that?” KENT: “I know what the result is. The result is people come to their own conclusions. And this is where crazy conspiracy theories come from.” “And then those conspiracy theories usually are easy to ‘debunk’ or make the people saying them sound crazy. So then the actual question never gets answered.” [Tucker laughs in awe] TUCKER: “Sorry. Can you say that for people who haven’t lived in Washington?” “I try to explain this to people all the time because this has been ongoing since at least the Kennedy assassination.” “But this is a very serious and recurring thing. It’s a tactic. And you just explained it better than anyone I’ve ever heard. Can you just do that again?” KENT: “So basically, you give no information whatsoever on something that’s obvious, that there should be information.” “You outlined there’s potentially footage of Crooks at the shooting range. Again, police, 101, go get the tapes. Let’s figure it out.” “If you don’t want to address that question, then you just go silent. You say, ‘you can’t ask that question,’ which then creates people who come out of kind of nowhere, and they start drawing their own conclusions.” “Knowing the way the internet works, half of them, if not more, are probably going to be so far off in left field... that then you can just be like, Oh, these people asking these questions about that tape at the video range. Crazy conspiracy theorists.’” “And so then you’ve just diverted all attention away from the thing that you’re trying to conceal. And now everyone’s focused on the crazies.” TUCKER: “Man.” KENT: “And then the second someone asks a legitimate question, they’re ‘crazy.’”

@ennui365 @mcsquared34 Join a union, make a demand for better conditions, strike until you get them. If some members can't afford to strike, support them. Weekends, public holidays, minimum wages all came about by demands backed by action. It wasn't easy then and it will be harder now.

Let me explain exactly why your phone seems to read your thoughts, because the real answer is more invasive than telepathy. Every time you open a website or app, a real-time bidding auction fires in under 100 milliseconds. Your GPS coordinates, browsing history, device fingerprint, age, gender, income bracket, and hundreds of inferred interest categories get packaged into a “bid request” and broadcast to hundreds of companies simultaneously. One company wins the ad slot. All of them keep the data. This happens thousands of times per day per person. A 2018 New York Times investigation found 75 companies pulling precise location data from apps, with some users tracked up to 14,000 times in 24 hours. In 2012, a Target statistician identified 25 products that, purchased in combination, could predict a customer was pregnant and estimate her due date. A teenager’s father discovered she was pregnant because Target sent baby coupons to the house before she told anyone. That was one retailer. Store receipts only. Fourteen years ago. Now scale that. Your phone pings GPS while you sleep. Data brokers link your phone, laptop, and tablet through probabilistic matching of IP addresses, WiFi networks, and behavioral patterns without you ever logging in. The FTC caught two brokers in 2024 categorizing people by visits to reproductive health clinics, political protests, and religious services, then selling those profiles to law enforcement. The algorithm doesn’t hear your thoughts. It compares your behavioral fingerprint against millions of similar profiles and predicts your next interest before you’re consciously aware of it. It makes hundreds of predictions per day. You ignore the misses. The five hits feel like telepathy. You paid for the phone. You pay for the data plan. You generate the signal. And every time a page loads, your identity gets auctioned to the highest bidder before the content even renders. They called it “personalized advertising” because “real-time mass surveillance funded by the people being surveilled” doesn’t fit on a consent banner.
Nithya Shri@Nithya_Shrii

I get how the phone can target ads by hearing and seeing me, but how is it showing me ads based on my thoughts? I can't be the only one noticing this.
