I support them both by staying out of the discourse completely. Vague posting and even “defending them” only helps to spread the situation farther. So many rumors and controversies only became known to me because the fandom couldn’t just shut the fuck up.

This video really sums it up, because the interviewer said “emotional supporter co-star” specifically like a co-worker you’re close with & rely on, Hudson clarified that no he’s my “emotional support person IN LIFE” implying he’s not just a co-star, which made that deeper.

The e2 and e4 montages were turning points. I could *feel* the smile growing on my face, I was consciously aware of myself falling into a deeper level of love and obsession with the show and characters while I watched it. By the end of each montage I was changed, and I knew it.

If a friend I find witty and smart annotated their favorite book (which I also like) with their observations and opinions, so that I could read the book and feel like she was next to me making catty remarks, I would treasure it for the rest of my life. Gotta know your audience.

I keep saying it but it bears repeating: those boys are crazy about each other (take that however you want) and if you, as a fan of one but not the other, can’t handle that, then it is YOU who must adapt or leave, because Hudson and Connor are never letting each other go.

We really deserve one tiny little moment of this next season.

I think this nomination is the industry’s way of making up for the fact that the show doesn’t qualify for the Emmys. Not to say that Connor didn’t do a phenomenal job (especially as a first-time host) but if he does get nominated, it will carry recognition beyond just SNL.
