During his visit, he met with our team to discuss the progress of our Results-Based Financing (RBF) initiatives and the growing impact our partnership is delivering in the communities we serve.

This World Water Day reminds us that #WaterAndGender are closely connected. In many communities, women & girls carry the greatest burden when water & sanitation are limited, spending hours collecting water, navigating unsafe facilities, all while managing other responsibilities.

It was inspiring to meet such curious and passionate young researchers eager to understand how communities, businesses, and public institutions can work together to improve sanitation infrastructure and make facilities safer, more accessible, and more reliable for users.

We were delighted to host a group of students from the University of Tokyo at our offices as part of the Africa Youth Social Entrepreneurship Programme (AYSEP), implemented by @UNIDO in collaboration with @AxcelAfrica.

"People laugh at us for doing this job, saying it isn’t dignified work for a woman," says Jacinta. But Jacinta faces every day with courage & pride, knowing that by cleaning the bags used in solid waste containers, she is helping keep entire communities safe, clean, & healthy.

The Government of Kenya recently launched the National Sanitation Management Policy, themed “Towards Safely Managed Sanitation for All by 2030 and Beyond.”
