New book available for pre-order. It simultaneously spatialises autonomist Marxism and utilises the categories of operaismo for a renewed Marxist urban theory. Read for surveys of class/spatial composition, 'the tendency' and the social factory in the midst of urban revolt.⤵️

I always really appreciated Viewpoint and Haider’s articles in them. I recently reread the coauthored workers inquiry a genealogy piece and it is still such a useful essay, among his many others. RIP Asad Haider. viewpointmag.com/author/asad-ha…

I really liked the book & reckon it’s both useful & provocative. Gonna be doing a reading group on it in coming months in the gong - along with some of a commie essentials the book covers. I also really like this review, which is clear & has its own very useful ideas in it.

I wrote this about why you should read Jasper Bernes's new book The Future of Revolution. (In the 2nd half I nitpick on a few points in a spirit of 'let's run with it in THIS direction, not THAT one'. That matters less, the main point is read the book!) buttondown.com/nateholdren/ar…

That first post should probably say weakness of labour struggle not class struggle, which has taken a range of forms in recent years beyond something immediately recognisable or reducible to something traditionally understood as a labour movement

The comment at abt 25min on the causes of the weakness of class struggle & that it can’t primarily be attributed to the conniving of business unions but reflects deeper structural & organisational challenges that the far left/the class need to deal with resonates with aus too
