This Nigerian doctor reportedly makes up to ₦50 million weekly from rearing scorpions 😳 A Nigerian scientist popularly known as Dr. Scorpion runs a farm with over 10,000 scorpions used for venom extraction. According to him, pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies use the venom to produce painkillers, anti-cancer drugs, and other medical products. He says 1 million scorpion venom currently sells for about $7,000–$9,000 in the global market. The wild scorpions are sourced from forests and desert areas, while they are fed with insects like cockroaches and mealworms. He claims the business can generate up to ₦50 million weekly from scorpion venom sold on the international market.
