Well I suppose Israel could have waited to see whether the 100,000 Egyptian troops who suddenly massed on the border and removed the UN buffer troops, together with Syrian and Jordanian armies, would invade. The reality: Israel begged the world to intervene, Egypt bragged it was going to wipe out Israel. When the gang surrounds you and pulls out knives, and declares their intent to kill the surrounded kid, who then throws the first punch, that kid was acting in self defence. The gang was the clear aggressor who more than started the fight.

Mr. Macron, Your concern for Jerusalem is noted. But let’s be honest about what’s actually happening, what you know is happening. Iran has fired ballistic missiles at Jerusalem, striking near the Western Wall, Al-Aqsa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher multiple times in recent weeks. I don’t recall a single tweet from you condemning those attacks on the holy sites of all three faiths. Today, Israel temporarily restricted access to protect worshippers, including Cardinal Pizzaballa, from an active missile threat. That’s not a violation of religious freedom. That’s what protecting religious freedom looks like under fire. If you genuinely care about Christians, Muslims, and Jews being able to pray freely in Jerusalem, you have a very simple way to show it: condemn Iran. Condemn the regime that has been targeting these sacred places with ballistic missiles. Condemn the regime that has struck 13 countries, most of them Muslim, during Ramadan. Until then, your outrage is selective. And selective outrage isn’t principle—it’s politics. Avec ton mon respect.

If someone's reaction to the burning of four Hatzola ambulances in London is to blame Jews/Zionists/Israel for a 'false flag', they are an antisemite. There's really no other reason or explanation. Quite handy for them all to expose themselves in one go tbh.

Please read. I held off posting about this because I know a lot of people in Golders Green and have been getting in touch with them all this morning. The entire Jewish community of Golders Green right now is shook but I will tell you what, they aren’t cowering, they are doing what Jews do best. Showing strength and coming together. There is a lot of fierceness, anger and rightly so. None are surprised, not a single Jew in the UK is likely surprised. It was the same with the Manchester synagogue attack. This government, along with the London Mayor and Met police that have allowed hate marches every week through the streets of London for two and a half years. The judicial system letting terrorists supports and Jew haters off the hook. The Prime Minister refusing to proscribe the IRGC and pandering to Islamists. It’s all been very obvious that these events would get more frequent and targeted as the perpetrators become more emboldened by the lack of push back and consequence. You politicians can keep saying “antisemitism has no place in our society” - well clearly it does. It’s become embedded institutionally. Universities, the NHS, the BBC, the Police, the Judicial System, Foreign Policy, the Home Office, Councils and many MPs in Parliament are all riddled with it. The ones that aren’t are complacent about it or let it spread out of fear of offending a certain “demographic” of voters. I will tell you now. Almost every Jewish family in the UK since the Hamas attacks on October 7th 2023 has seriously considered leaving Britain - due to this Nazi like hatred fuelled by Islamism, Anti-Israel propaganda and the “Pro-Palestine” movement. But this is bigger than you may think, much bigger. It’s not just an issue for Jews. This is serious. There’s a reason they say Jews are the canary in the coal mine. It affects everything. No exaggeration. Read any history book. History has shown, throughout millennia, that when antisemitism goes unchecked, societies fail. Jew hatred is a cancer that needs to be surgically removed - not ignored and allowed to fester. It attacks and it rots. Because when the Jews leave, who comes after.

After a morning of media interviews in Golders Green, one thing is clear: We have a serious problem in how antisemitism is reported. There is a reluctance to treat it as a standalone issue. Instead, it is constantly wrapped in “context” - Israel, Gaza, Iran and local political stories. When ambulances with a connection to the Jewish community are set on fire outside a synagogue, the story is antisemitism, not a geopolitical explainer. Every attempt to pivot to “but what about…” blurs the truth and weakens the response. We need clarity. Not deflection.

I have a lot of journalists following me and I am imploring you, if you are writing about the antisemitic attack in Golders Green, *please* emphasise these two things: - Hatzola is a volunteer-driven, no-cost service that is *entirely* self-funded. It relies 100% on private donations and community fundraising rather than government or public NHS funding. - While operating in largely Jewish areas, it services Jews and non-Jews equally. You may not deem it necessary to include this information, and in a perfect world it would not be. However, these are the two lies being spread by antisemites in order to justify the attack and use it to spread even more hostility against the Jewish people. Please include these facts.

Waking up this morning to the news 4 ambulances, yes life saving ambulances, run by Jewish volunteers, have been burned down. Antisemitism is off the scale right now, and this government's response will yet again do zero to address the cause. I could cry, but I'm too angry.

Since October 7, the Jewish community in England has been under sustained attack. Hatred has been normalised. Jews have been demonised, delegitimised, and pushed to the margins of society. And this is where it leads. These ambulances belonged to Hatzola Northwest, a volunteer Jewish emergency service providing 24/7 lifesaving care, parked beside a synagogue. Targeted because they serve Jews and others. No doubt government and non-Jewish leaders will now feign shock, visit the site, and pledge support, as they did after the Manchester terrorist attack. But you cannot claim to stand with the Jewish community while allowing this climate to fester - while antisemitism and Islamist extremism are tolerated, excused and ignored. Jewish life in the UK is being made to feel unsafe. Young Jews like me are questioning our future here - knowing it’s not a matter of if the next attack comes, but when. The sad truth is that we are “lucky” it was ambulances, not people. But even that reveals everything. We build. We save lives. We choose life - as my great-grandmother did after Auschwitz. They choose destruction. We will rebuild. We will continue. The question is whether we will be able to do so here in the UK.

My mom just called me from Iran through her landline. I haven’t spoken to her since February. She said that Israel and the US are bombing the regime nonstop. They taped all the windows because the building shakes constantly. It's so generous spirited of @owenjonesjourno to take on the mantle of determining what Iranians are and are not allowed to think about the war, having already been under the huge burden of determining what Jews are and are not allowed to think about antisemitism.
