My friend and mentor Sheikh Ali aka Big Man's advice to Gen Z in Garissa, "Continue with the struggle. Never peg your hopes on 2027. These people are very manipulative. It is now or never." #totalshutdown #JusticeForRex #occupyBungeKE

The Year is 2008, The Game had just landed in Kenya and there was a press conference at the Norfolk hotel organized by MTV. After the press conference we took photos and as we were leaving one of the guys in The Game’s entourage approached me as I was heading to the parking lot and asked me “hey my G we have heard a lot about you, is there by any chance you have your music with you?” Luckily I had a copy of the NgeliYaGenge album in my car, so I rushed to the car removed it from the system put it in the album case and handed to him we shook hands and we left. The press conference was on a Thursday nite so that Saturday we had soundcheck and rehearsals at the Bomas where the event ‘Road to the MAMAS’ was to take place. I met The Game’s guy again as I was heading to the stage to do my soundcheck and he was like “yo my G the Album is fire!!! The Game and the rest of the guys love it” I was really humbled and I told him “thank you very much” I finished my soundcheck left the venue really fast coz I had to go home and prepare coz we were performing that same night and I was slated to perform around 8. My crew and I returned to Bomas around 7, headed straight to the backstage and at exactly 8pm stepped on stage and as you all know I KILLED IT!!! I want to take this opportunity and send a special shout-out to you my fans who were there coz hio performance ilikua CRAZY!!! CRAZY!!! kwanza when I performed NgeliYaGenge karibu BOMAS ichomeke 😂😂😂.
After my performance nilirudi kurelax na jamaa backstage as we watched the Game perform, he had a long performance so ikafika mahali nikaanza kuskia the Game akisema “Where JuaCali at?” “Where JuaCali at!!!?” I was like niko sure naskia kitu naskia ama naskia vitu zangu? so boy wangu mmoja akakuja mbio place niko akaniambia “Oya buda!!! The Game anakuita kwa stage!!!” I was like “holy sh*t nikaamka mbio!!! Kufika stage The Game was like “Is this your hood?” Halafu aka face crowd akawa uliza “is this JuaCali hood?” “Is this JuaCali hood!!?” Niliskia nduru ingine sijawai skia in a longtime, The Game akanipatia mic something I didn’t expect, so mind yangu ina race, usually mimi si freestyler so nikathink fast nikajua hapa wacha nipige accapela ya NgeliYaGenge which I knew crowd itasing along coz the knew every word, nikaanza kuipiga nakuambia Bomas mzima ililipuka!!!! Entourage ya The Game ilikua hyped up mpaka siezi sahau kuna boy wao mmoja alinitap na nguvu kwa shoulder mpaka karibu nidunde offstage what!!! 😂😂😂😂
Nikamaliza, akaita Wahu pia kwa stage, he finished his performance and we called it a night.
After a few days we met again in Abuja,Nigeria for the MAMAS finale tulikua na Clemo kwa hallway tuakapitana na The Game akaniona akasimama said hi nikamwish success and that was it. Naeza kumbuka Clemo akiniambia “jamaa amekukumbuka, jamaa amekukumbuka!!!”😂😂😂😂#gengetotheWorld #genge #GRAMMYs

Around 2004 kuna campaign flani ya Trust ilikua inapangwa so wasanii kadha waka shortlistiwa mimi included, but before you get the gig ilikua lazima uende for an interview. So interview ilikua pale The Chancery Valley road, mimi huyo nikapanda mathree teke teke mpaka tao then nikatembea kutoka tao mpaka Chancery si mbali. Nikafika poa nikakaribishwa fresh nikapewa chai introduction mbili tatu meeting ikaanza. Meeting ilikua ya mtu tatu mimi na madam flani wawili. So the 1st question niliulizwa ni ‘What car do you drive?’ I swear to God Iam not lying, Yo!! Hio swali ilinipata offguard coz in my head I was like hii swali ikona connection gani na hii campaign? Ama hawa wasee waliniona kwa dirisha nikitembea wanajaribu kunipima? But anyway nilikua truthful nikajibu ‘I dont own a car actually I came here using a matatu’ so nikaulizwa swali zengine related na music but siezi ata zikumbuka. After the interview was done nikaambia ‘dont call us we are going to get in touch if you have made the cut’ meeting ikaisha hivyo mimi huyo mguu mpaka tao mathree no4 mpaka mtaani. Kufika home kila mtu alikua anangoja the good news sadly nikawaambia ‘sioni tukitoboa’ but naeza kumbuka my mum na mum wa Clemo wakiniambia ‘tulia your time is coming’
After a few months ma billboard zilianza kutoka na hao wasanii wengine hapa ndio tukajua hatuna chetu. The most important thing we believed so much in ourselves we never gave up tukaendelea na grind kurelease songs, Mungu ni nani after like 2 years I became the Brand ambassador for Motorola na hivyo ndio vile journey yangu ya the corporate world ilianza so na hope huyo madam aliniuliza hio swali ya gari anatuona tukifanya mambo!!! Never give up on your dreams no matter what!! GENGE TO THE WORLD!!! #GRAMMYs

@adeoyedamilare Yes, that's limiting. Wonder what will happen to the already existing category? Also, how long before the "big artists" start to become unenthusiastic about the award cos they are competing against Africans just like how they do in the African awards? Some even fail to attend

MP Robert Mbui: The average monthly salary is Ksh.176,000 in Tunisia, Ksh.187,000 in South Africa, Ksh.263,000 in Morocco, while that of a Kenyan is Ksh.22,000. How do you compare Kenya with other countries? How do you compare day and night? #FinanceBillDebate
