Tonight was supposed to be a beautiful evening for Keenan Evans and Olympiacos… The American guard was set to make his long-awaited return to the EuroLeague after 581 days away — and he did. Evans made his EuroLeague debut with Olympiacos, but sadly, just 2 minutes and 1 second later, time seemed to freeze. In an innocent-looking play, Keenan fell to the floor holding his left Achilles, and his heartbreaking “NO WAY” left us all stunned. 😣 Unfortunately, the worst fears were confirmed — Evans has suffered the third major injury of his career. Back in January 2023, he tore his right Achilles tendon, only to come back stronger and better than ever. Then, in May 2024, during a Lithuanian League game, he tore his patellar tendon. And now, on November 12, in his long-awaited EuroLeague return, he has suffered another Achilles tear — this time in his left leg. 😔 A player who has never given up — and we are certain he won’t this time either. It’s truly heartbreaking for someone who’s been through so much to once again be held back from showing his talent. Keenan, we know you’ll come back stronger from this battle. Tough to learn that Texas Tech superfan Jeff Orr passed away. This guy did nothing but drive from Waco to Lubbock for Tech basketball games for years. I even quoted him about Bob Knight in the DMN. He was 64. Guns Up Forever, my man.
