Tangata Whenua are the strongest defence against fascism in Aotearoa, and the anti-Māori crowd knows this.

Every right entails a duty. Every Māori person has duties (ngā here, obligations) to Papatūanuku, Whakapapa, and Hapori (just for starters). Te Tiriti protects Māori capability to exercise those duties. Te Tiriti creates rights for Tangata Tiriti, and duties to Tangata Whenua.

I don't think the USA has ever reconciled the contradictions of its origin in invasion, dispossession, extermination, occupation, enslavement and settlement. Despite all attempts to make something better, these are the foundations it is built on.

@jameskjx Was thinking of how democracy is valorised. A majority vote doesn't define what is right or undo obligations.

Being in control of your actions does not in itself make you a good person. Nor does it excuse you from duties and obligations. Some of those might have been inherited, for example, if you took over the family business. You can't just walk away from them. #Democracy #Tiriti

Live Long and Prosper. 🖖 The "Minister for Killing More People on the Roads" is just stone cold Vulcan logic. Road deaths increase as a function of speed. Many are child deaths. The Dutch learnt this in the 1970s, and that's why they switched to bicycles.
Russel Norman@RusselNorman

The Minister for Killing More People on the Roads, Simeon Brown, consulted the petrol and diesel car importers and they said EVs would be a bad idea, so he weakened the fuel efficiency standards so NZ could have 58,000 fewer electric cars by 2035 rnz.co.nz/news/political…

Existential Comics (find me on bluesky)
Saying that everyone has to shut up about an active genocide because it is ruining the vibes of your political movement is so nihilistic that I really can't believe any human who lives and breaths could even imagine thinking it.

My APC certificate expired yesterday. It’s official - properly properly retired. Sending all my best wishes to the clinical staff of Te Whatu Ora - doesn’t look easy from here.

Also with these guys it's a straight line from Crown ownership to sell-offs and privatisation.

#ForeshoreSeabed No one was going to be denied access to the beach, it was always bullshit. Designed to play Pakeha off against Māori, Every week since this Govt has been in Power, there has been a RacistAF Diatribe from one of the Coalition members.
