@2024dion Yeah I like the enhanced overpass + strategic retail land bridge play. I wonder how the leases for the retail are structured and how much if any costs are recaptured

@dilanesper For a majority of the last five years, the big east has finished 4th in conference RPI, usually ahead of the ACC.

This is actually a good jump off point to talk about prison sentencing. Because, honestly, I think the public doesn't understand how awful prison is and thinks that anything short of total cruelty is a slap on the wrist. And prosecutors and the sentencing guidelines cater to that

.@Stanford law school profs Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried went on CNN yesterday to defend their son who is in prison for misappropriating funds at FTX. “I think that Sam was the victim of an out of control prosecution and I know that Trump himself feels he was,” Fried said.

To open the Straits, the US coalition must create an electronic warfare net around the ships: anti drone point defenses on ships, jamming of Iranian drone controls, and saturate the space with hunting drones to take out crews and launchers. Ukraine showed the way.

Having set attendance and broadcast viewer records, the World Baseball Classic will return in 2029 or 2030 and at some point, could be moved to midseason, when clubs would be less likely to restrict players. nbcnews.com/sports/mlb/wor…

Im going to show you how we have Perdomo pitch captured from 3 separate angles Only thing I did was pan the camera around So, in order to match the video IMAGE, I have to get the angle perfectly to match. But that doesnt take away from the fact that all 3 of these are the same

What is a head coach hire in College Football that you were certain would work out but didn't? I'll go first: Jonathan Smith, Michigan State.

SAT scores used to distribute normally, with a median of 500 on each section and a standard deviation of 100 points. So, a 1400 used to be a 98th percentile score. Today, a 1400 is a 92nd percentile score. Colleges want less resolution in the test and they want it to draw less fine distinctions among top performers so that they can choose who to admit based on subjective criteria. And race. National Merit was slightly above the equivalent of a 1400 when I took the PSAT and now it is like a 1520. That isn’t because National Merit has become harder to get — you had to hit the same percentile ranking then that you do today. The College Board just allocates less of the score spectrum to the top 1% of students now.
Jasmine@bustanutkeaton

When I was applying to college, a 90 percentile SAT would pretty much guarantee anyone, regardless of race or gender, in-state admission to public ivies like Berkeley or UCLA. For my brother who is 13 years younger, the guarantee became Merced or Riverside. Oldheads should sit this discussion out
