I am mainly here to discuss science, philosphy, spirituality. ASC Catholic humanist and sceptic. RT doesn't mean endorsement. Please no porn, trolls, etc.

An example of the noetic effects of sin - Sin makes you stupid (as does Dementia). Trump was always capable of doing evil things, but this lacks the rat cunning which has historically helped him get away with it.

The Pope is not “woke.” What you’re witnessing is a millennia of Catholic social teaching developed over countless encyclicals and the lifework of a vast cloud of witnesses to the love of Christ towards the whole world.

Pope Leo needs to stay his Lane. He is becoming worse than Pope Francis. Leave President Trump alone to do his job.

Marxist garbage, coming from the Pope. Perhaps he might mention how the CCP persecute Christians and crush dissent with murder and "organ harvesting". But that wouldn't play as well. Is he getting his talking points from Obama & Axelrod? YIKES.

Thanks to Melody Lyons for addressing one of the many problematic aspects of celebrity exorcist Fr Chad Ripperger’s "ministry." Hopefully, Church authorities will soon recognize how much harm this man does to the faithful and even to those outside the Church and act.

UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place — and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon’s tactics that Pope Leo XIV shelved plans to visit the United States later this year. Many in the Vatican saw the Pentagon’s reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See.

Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby @USWPColby had a substantive, respectful, and professional meeting with Cardinal Pierre, the then-Papal Nuncio, and his team on January 22, 2026. During the cordial meeting, they discussed a range of topics, including issues of morality in foreign policy, the logic of the U.S. National Security Strategy, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and other topics. Cardinal Pierre expressed his appreciation for the outreach and both sides looked forward to continued open and respectful dialogue. In light of grossly false and distorted recent reporting, the Department of War repeats its statement: Recent reporting of the meeting is highly exaggerated and distorted. The meeting between Pentagon and Vatican officials was a respectful and reasonable discussion. We have nothing but the highest regard and welcome continued dialogue with the Holy See.
