When I was in JSS2, I was sleeping one night when I had a dream; a friend of mine who was in JSS1 came in that dream with an axe to my house to fight me, his aim was to break my head with the axe. We fought in the dream and I collected the axe which I then used to break his head. He started shouting, holding his head and was about to die, so I told him "go to your house and die, don't die here". I woke up in the morning and I was perturbed because I and this guy live in the same area, use the same school bus and we were quite close, but I didn't pay much attention to the dream. I entered the school bus that day on our way to school, but he was not in the school bus. He also didn't show up the next day. The school got concerned about the sudden disappearance, and some students were sent to go check on him. The third day they came back with a report that he's been down for 3 days shouting "my head, my head" and nothing was working. Then I remembered the dream I had; I was shaking in school all day. I got home, knelt down and prayed to God that he should not die, as I don't want to have anyone's blood on my hands. Guess who showed up the next day. However the shocker was that, Immediately he entered the school bus, he came straight to me shook my hands, called my surname and said " you na baba o". I was petrified !!!!!. I took my spiritual life seriously since that time!!!

Some things unexpectedly remind me of my parents. Like fish head and my dad. How he used to consume that thing, including the eyes is a mystery. Then my mom taught me to eat bitter kola (an acquired taste), cowleg (an unecessarily difficult task) and insane amounts of Yoruba pepper. The only ones that didn't take are yellow garri, amala and ewedu. Ewww.
