I hate when people compare Olivia's critical reception to Taylor's SO much because you simply cannot ignore the context that Taylor Swift has been judged in for her 23 year long career. Olivia has debuted in an era that is so vastly changed from that of Taylor.

@gaardenpanty i think it’s weirder to pretend as if there’s not a disproportionate amount of misogyny towards her that goes unchecked & is perpetuated by those who otherwise would call it out if taylor’s name wasn’t involved.

People are definitely misogynistic and shitty about Taylor but this is always such a weird thing to say. As if misogyny is something otherwise widely unaccepted and held to account outside Taylor. As if many people aren't extremely vocal anytime she's spoken on, period.
