Since getting onboarded into web3, I have followed a few DAOs closely enough to see how the voting actually works. I observed lots of things most people don’t talk about. When voting is fully public and wallets are visible, decisions can be influenced before they’re even finalized. What do I mean? 🎯Whale Influence 🎯Social Pressure 🎯Vote buying or Coercion I have witnessed large holders signal early and others follow, hence, smaller holders get drowned out in the process. Yes, it's decentralized governance but not always independent decision-making. That’s where Oasis comes in. Oasis enables confidential voting powered by their privacy layer, votes can be submitted privately, therefore, reducing bias, social pressure, and early signaling.
