It is 18 years since Amy Fitzpatrick went missing, please keep her family in your thoughts 🙏🏻 ANNIVERSARY APPEAL - AMY FITZPATRICK Amy Fitzpatrick was 15 years old when she went missing on 1 January 2008. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, she lived with her mother, brother and her mother’s partner in Riviera del Sol in Mijas Costa, Malaga Spain. Amy was babysitting with her friend on New Year’s Eve 2007 and left at 23:00hrs for the ten minute walk home, but did not arrive. Her mother officially declared her missing on 3 January 2008. Described as a shy, quiet girl with a slight Irish accent, Amy was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a Diesel T-Shirt at the time of her disappearance. Unconfirmed reports suggest she was spotted in a local bar just after midnight on New Year’s day. Spanish police do not believe she ran away of her own accord as she did not have any money. Her friend has always maintained Amy had her mobile phone when she left, yet this was found at the apartment where she lived during police searches. To this day, it has never been established how Amy’s phone was at home when it was definitely in her possession when she left her friend’s house.
