Pitino’s not wrong. Only three Big East teams were ranked in the top 50 in NET.
It also doesn’t help St. John’s that their two best non-conference wins were against Baylor and Ole Miss.
UConn beat BYU, Illinois, Kansas, Florida, and Texas, which is why they are a 2-seed.
