According to Plainville police, on Friday afternoon (March 27), 27-year-old Patrick J. King shot and killed his girlfriend Felisha Matthews, 31, their 4-year-old daughter Ava R. King, and Felisha's 12-year-old daughter Mileena Matthews (from a prior relationship) inside their Milford Street home. King then called his sister, who alerted 911. After a 2-hour SWAT standoff, officers deployed pepper gas; King shot himself, was taken to hospital, and died. Victims were dead at scene from gunshot wounds. The weapon was legally registered to him. Motive unknown; family had moved in mid-January with no prior police calls.
