Yeh comments like Raju Hirani lost the touch, yeh, woh, lehenga lassan! Logon ko chhapri toxicity ki aadat ho gayi hai! Inn logon ko ignore karo, aur apni family ke sath enjoy karo. Very rarely do we get a genuinely entertaining content that can be watched with your family at home. This one’s that.

Mr. @prasoonjoshi_ Can you please enlighten us on why 127 cuts were recommended for the film Panjab '95? The same film, now renamed ‘Satluj’, has been taken down from an OTT platform in less than two days. The CBFC has no jurisdiction over OTT platforms or international releases. Panjab '95 tells the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a man who exposed documented human rights abuses and paid for it with his life. If a film based on documented facts cannot be seen by Indian audiences, then the public deserves to know why. This sends a very direct message to filmmakers and production companies: if you're paying homage to a great personality from a minority community, you'll have to face the CBFC. Journalists should be asking the people running this censor board some hard questions. Why are some politically insensitive films able to pass with ease while others spend years in limbo? A red carpet for Kashmir Files, Bengal Files, and Kerala Story. Roses for Dhurandar 1 & 2, a fictional documentary/explainer for the unthinkable and the unexplainable. How does it feel to feast on four years of a director's career? In Nehru's India, this would have been litigated in court. If filmmakers cannot tell the stories of people who stood up for justice without years of obstruction, what kind of cinema are we encouraging them to make? The average rainfall numbers the Lonavala region (where the missing link is) for the ENTIRE month of July is around 700mm. The same place received 670 mm of rain in 24 hours. No infrastructure in the world can be planned for such extreme rain events. The rainfall numbers, if true, are absolutely mind boggling and would easily make it to the top 10 list of highest rainfall ever recorded during a 24 hour period in India. That being said, ideally, the missing link should have been opened after undergoing the toughest litmus test on the planet that is the Indian monsoon.

There is utter BS being spread about ‘record’ GCC hiring right now, since the numbers are impossible to confirm, unlike the headcount figures that listed IT giants publish. While there has been some recovery in hiring in tech, the net impact is still negative compared to 2023. In fact, each and every engineering college is still struggling to place their computer science students. Startups are being able to hire talent at 40% of what they paid in 2022-23. Many are asking employees to take pay cuts to reduce their bloated salary bills. Most importantly, a majority of top jobs in GCCs are still centralised in the home countries of the companies that run them. So, growth opportunities are very limited.
