@LetsTalkGers It’s been our biggest problem for years now. Celtic have been on another level in comparison.
English

The goal and assist numbers in the league for Rangers’ creative players:
Thelo Aasgaard - 4 G/A.
Andreas Skov Olsen - 3 G/A.
Mikey Moore - 7 G/A.
Djeidi Gassama - 5 G/A.
Oliver Antman - 3 G/A.
Nedim Bajrami - 2 G/A.
We need so much more from these players.

Andy@Bobmcphail1872
Stating the obvious here, but Aasgaard, Antman, Skov Olsen, Miovski, Bajrami... All need to step up and contribute meaningfully with goals and assists between now and the end of the season if we are to be champions. We need everything from the entire squad.
English

@Bry_Denn @KaiGWatson I can’t disagree tbh. It’s just not what I hear Celtic fans say about him. Point is Rangers don’t have anything close to those sort of figures.
English

@jamesdmain @KaiGWatson Hasn't been sensational but managed 20 goals from midfield and about 10/11 assists. I'd say that's pretty sensational for a midfielder lol
English

Celtic in the last month;
Injury time equaliser and ET winner against Dundee in the Scottish Cup.
Last minute winner against Livi.
Comeback from 2-0 down to win vs Killie.
Comeback from 2-0 down to draw vs Rangers at Ibrox.
From 1-0 down to 3-1 winners against Motherwell today.
That’s why they are where they are, always finding a way.
English

@johnwalker_1986 Time-wasted so early in the second half also showed pure negativity. It’s embarrassing.
English

Subs Switching Systems Backfiring
Jens Berthal Askou subs compared to Danny Röhl:
Rangers go to a Back-5(Should've immediately switched that after the Red):
• Sends Negative Messaging to Players
• Invites Pressure (Even from 10-men)
• No Attacking Mindset or Intent
Motherwell then go to 10-men but took off a LB for a LW, went for it & got rewards 👏
Substitutions have such huge importance on the signals you are actually sending onto the pitch 👇
English

@DaveRobb89 @MountakhabFoot That’s what they’re saying. Very clear similarities.

@TEnglishSport @CPO55 SG 'benefitted' from starting at the bottom. Expectations were lower. The progress was immediately visible and fans knew we were going somewhere, despite setbacks. Recent managers have suffered because SG raised those expectations.
English

@jamesdmain @CPO55 SG got broad support from the fans despite failing to win anything for two seasons. Zero trophies in his first eight attempts. If GvB or Clement had the same backing then there’s a reasonable chance you’d be in a whole lot better position now than you are.
English

@TEnglishSport @CPO55 It was probably a bit premature, I'll grant you, but it did seem to be heading in one direction. Beale lurking in the shadows didn't help matters.
English

@jamesdmain @CPO55 Sacked because they got hammered by Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax. Were nine points behind Postecoglou’s Celtic. Not great, but madness to pull the trigger on him when you’re supposedly looking for “stability” I wish SG well. The more teams competing the more fun it is
English

@TEnglishSport @CPO55 The evidence suggests he's been our best manager since Walter Smith (also wasn't perfect either let's not forget), and probably closest to him in terms of a figurehead for the support.
There's not exactly a plethora of other options jumping out...
English

@CPO55 @jamesdmain Just trying to offer a balanced view on SG’s managerial career. Some don’t want that because they’re desperate to see him as the messiah, which is cool. I mean, he might be the answer, but the evidence does not support it
English

@TEnglishSport @CPO55 There's a lot of revisionism around Gio because of what followed. The team had lost their way massively (not all his fault) and he seemed so uninspiring. All relative as well - the team had just won the league - fans not expecting us to go backwards so fast.
English

@CPO55 @jamesdmain In a sane world, a Europa League final and a Cup and CL qualification buys you more time than a year, regardless of CL goes. Rangers not a CL team
English

@Tim88CelticFan @AMcKellar89 @TEnglishSport @IanMolloy82 I don’t think the bin fire is quite as big, nor the gap with Celtic. You haven’t beaten us in over a year.
English

@AMcKellar89 @TEnglishSport @IanMolloy82 @jamesdmain 3 years? If he or hearts don’t win the league in that time then we are on 7 again 🥱
English

@TEnglishSport @IanMolloy82 @AMcKellar89 Overall record against Celtic is far from meaningless when it sets the foundations for the title-winning season. Again, no victories over them in first two seasons = far less chance of winning league in third.
English

@IanMolloy82 @AMcKellar89 @jamesdmain Ian, overall record against Celtic is meaningless if you’re dropping points to loads of other clubs and getting knocked out of Cup competitions mostly by teams with a fraction of your budget. Title win was excellent. Rest of domestic stuff was poor. Judy my view
English

@TEnglishSport The seasons themselves weren't excellent, but the progress across his tenure absolutely was.
Reaction to Hamilton loss was frustration - a victim of his own success there. Sensible among us could see the bigger picture.
Not convinced by his return btw, just defending his record.
English

@jamesdmain Seasons one and two were not excellent, in my opinion. They were better than Pedro’s comedy months, but let’s not overstate it. The Rangers support was incandescent after that Hamilton loss in season two. They wanted heads on spikes.
English

@haveringBard @TEnglishSport Good on them.
We'll swap those two trophies for Gerrard's record in Europe. Interesting to see how we finance deals for Kent, Roofe, Helander etc.
English

@TEnglishSport @AMcKellar89 So did Walter Smith and every manager in our history.
Celtic's dominance is based upon beating all those teams so regularly, in a manner in which even the best OF teams over the years have failed to do.
English

@AMcKellar89 @jamesdmain I’m not comparing that first or second season to Celtic. He drew and lost a lot of games against teams with fractions of his budget.
English

@TEnglishSport No, but if coincides with Celtic putting 3 and 4 past us, as well as dropping points for fun in the league...
Gerrard took us very quickly from 4 and 5-0 drubbings by Celtic to beating them..
He took us from Progres defeat to victory over Porto.
3 years of excellent progress.
English

@jamesdmain So, if a Rangers manager has a terrible CL campaign, that’s it? How did SG get on in the CL?
