I'm having a massive clear-out of my working space at the moment, but it's so much more than just de-cluttering ... After years in survival mode with an emotionally abusive husband, then the added trauma of losing my sister this year & almost losing my Dad 12 months ago ... I finally feel like I need/ want to start shedding layers that defined the 'old me'. Looking back at diaries & notes, I was crazy busy for years - but the busyness wasn't productive. I was speaking on stages, writing articles for major social media websites, contributing to books ... But that busyness didn't result in business! (What's grown my business more than anything has been the relationships I've made with people in real life and online.) I was proud of being 'successful' - using a level of recognition to define success. My definition of success these days is very different - for me, it means being able to be at home with the children who still live here, rather than racing all round the country, & having a predictable income. Getting rid of all the old paperwork, pop-up banners, files, folders & books is very freeing, although I have tinges of sadness saying 'goodbye' to that old me, as old me had young children, and I really miss them being around & the house being full of noise and fun. And 'old me' was ambitious & full of enthusiasm. Not surprisingly, I've had some of that knocked out of me, along with a chunk of self-belief. The clear-out is taking far, far longer than I expected, but it's a really positive experience & it's helping me feel less 'stuck' and more positive. I'm sharing in case this helps - if you're feeling stuck or maybe at a crossroads. Or maybe you're 'busy being busy' too.

I'm sick in bed. I thought it was covid but 2 negative tests. Maybe it's the flu but feel rotten. Anyone else feel like they have covid but getting negative tests?
