Bashing Luka has become the mainstream medias favorite activity just due to the engagement it brings.
It’s come to a point where NBA media with actual votes have resorted to rage-baiting and engagement farming and with a fanbase as big as the lakers, it’s easy to target us.

Luka Doncic is at about a 57% eFG this season. If MVP is suddenly being decided by efficiency and 57% isn’t good enough then these past winners should return their MVPs: LeBron, Michael Jordan, Steph, Larry Bird, Kevin Durant, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Dirk, Hakeem, and Kareem
In fact, the only MVP seasons above 57% eFG are Jokić (3), Giannis (2), Wilt (2), 2013 LeBron, 2016 Steph, 1993 Barkley, and 2006 Nash.
Right at 57%: 1987 Magic, 2000 Shaq and 2023 Embiid.
And just for context, last year SGA was right under 57% basically the same range as Luka now, while Jokić was at 62.6% last season. Nobody had an issue with efficiency back then.

Started the season with five straight 40 point games… was player of the month in the middle of the season (January)… and will be player of the month at the end of the season (March) This sounds like the definition of consistency to me

It’s funny because how did SGA & Joker get the reputation as good defenders? Everytime I watch OKC they have Dort, Caruso or Joe playing defense…
Steph was the best player in the world and would hide in corner and taken out in crunch time.
