Joseph Paul Wilson, 45, and Jodi Ann Wilson, 42, of North Carolina, wrapped little Skyler in a bedsheet and duct-taped him on January 5, 2023. Jodi texted Joseph “Hurry home, I think I have hurt him.” Joseph bought the tape that day and did nothing when he saw his son restrained. Skyler died on January 9 from brain injury caused by the prolonged restraint. He was also severely malnourished. Both parents pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
