@allanholloway Stoneygate ward now stretches from London Road down to the A47 so it includes South Highfields as well as the leafier part of Stoneygate. In 2024 GE an independent MP was elected on a pro-Palestine ticket. Protest voting isn’t that rare here - same happened during the Iraq War.

despite, or maybe because of, the incumbent Labour MP, Jim Marshall, helping me out over an electricity bill I couldn't afford to pay. Hope Stoneygate declares soon.

Stoneygate in Leicester is perhaps the most interesting of the 3 council ward by-elections that have polled today which may give us some insight as to what might happen in Gorton & Denton next week.

@ElectionMapsUK Stoneygate used to be a desirable area. Guessing the overflow from highfields have taken over. I guess it’s Knighton or move out of Leicester then?

@leicspolice this car has been sitting outside our house with the engine running for 20 minutes. The house now stinks of exhaust fumes. What can we do? I’m not very keen to ask a car full of lads to stop it.

@ChrisHarper93 Perhaps he needs to learn about the national curriculum in the UK and the responsibility all schools have to teach about religion, including the emphasis given to Christianity?
