Bryan Schor took an insurance job shortly after graduating. But his heart never left football.
Nearly 10 years after leading JMU to the 2016 FCS National Championship, he’s back in Harrisonburg. This time on Billy Napier’s staff.

It’s morally justifiable for revenue-generating athletes to share in the value they create. But women’s and Olympic sports shouldn’t disappear… they’re key Olympic pipelines and a matter of national pride. If subsidy is needed, it shouldn’t come solely from revenue sports. Spread it more broadly.

Coaches earn those salaries because the market values what they produce for universities.
At the same time, it’s fair to acknowledge that the economics of college sports were distorted for decades because the largest labor force in the industry (the athletes) was barred from sharing in the value they helped create.

The common theme of the speakers at the WH is that women's sports will be in jeopardy if they don't rein NIL in. You would think someone is forcing the schools to spend 90 percent of their rev share on men's sports and give coaches $90M contracts. It's a self-created "crisis."
