Love the plus money for Springs here.
Coming off a great final Spring Training start, where he threw 81 pitches and K’d 8 batters in 4.0 IP.
Mariners were a K-machine last season, and their projected lineup today contains 5 players that had a > 23% K-rate vs LHP last season.
Springs has always been a > 1 K/IP guy, think he goes at least 5 IP here and he should be able to get us 6 in a great matchup.
Played this for 0.75u to win about 1u. GL if tailing 🤝

Connor Gillispie (MIA) o1.5 Walks (-110 ESPN)
Gillispie had a 10.1% walk rate in AAA last season, also made a brief appearance in the majors where he had a 15.6% walk rate. Walked 2+ batters in 2/3 games, barely eclipsing 50 pitches in these starts.
During spring training, he had an 8.2% walk rate and worked up 81 pitches in his last start. With 3 bullpen arms throwing 25+ pitches last night, think they try their best to let Gillispie go at least 5 innings here.
Pittsburgh’s offense isn’t great, but they do have some solid discipline at the plate. They should have some solid BB targets early in the order in Reynolds, Cruz, Bart, Cutch, and even Pham isn’t too bad. They walked 7 times yesterday and Sandy had 4 walks against them, think Gillispie should get at least 2.
