@cathrinew@tjaybelt Good stuff. I'm going to have to see how I can work with pomodoro. The concept is great, but much of my day is spent in meetings that others schedule.
For the 1,000,000th time: you have servers (VMs, physical) that run instances of SQL Server. SQL is not a product. It's a language. You DO NOT HAVE SQL SERVERS FFS
@anniehedgie@shanselman As a person with a few more years than that, I can tell you with confidence that there will ALWAYS be things you don't know. As senior engineers, we need to model the behavior of publicly asking questions and being supportive when answering.
@shanselman Idk, as a person who’s only 4.5 yrs into my tech career, there are questions everyday that I’m afraid to ask because they expose a gap in my understanding or that I’m missing something foundational since I’m a career changer. Then if I decide to ask, I feel dumb about it all day.
Later in career engineers, listen up! Kat has facts here. It's OUR JOB to answer questions. It's the job of early in career devs to ASK THEM.
A good question is a gift! Take it as one and give back both the give of listening but also the gift of a patient and thoughtful answer.

@cathrinew These are difficult times for everyone, and especially for those already fighting depression. Take care of yourself. You're important and very much valued. You inspire many of us.
