@franknteddy oh i just wanna make a clumsy joke but personally i think they specifically added the plants to represent life and also to skip addressing the food issue at the end. technically mark used mars soil in inside the hab with earth atmosphere if i remember correctly

saw a negative review for phm that said "stop colonizing space" and i truly don't think there can be a more illiterate take on anything that happened in that movie

@beesinpjs @franknteddy yeah i only caught it after watching it twice, there's some close up shots of plants and some red fruit, but they're just like sprouts or something. when he turned on the centrifuge for the 1st time you can see the whole shelf of plants
