Some people miss the point of the show’s homophobic characters. “They never judged anyone for being gay” — that’s not the point. Chloé and Ray targeted Zoé because she was queer, pushing her to become like them. Zoé literally had to mimic homophobia to survive. #mlbtwt

I hate that people see Ray as just the “male version of Chloé.” Ray represents internalized homophobia—he hates queer people and relationships because he can’t accept his own feelings. Chloé is just straight-up racist and homophobic #mlbtwt

“Zoé and Nathaniel never experienced homophobia!” They literally did. Zoé was rejected for being queer and forced to imitate Chloé’s behavior to fit in. Nathaniel’s mother wanting him to “change” was openly homophobic. And you're still saying Chloé isn't homophobic? #mlbtwt

This is so sad and awful. We CAN'T stand silently by. Research shows 99% of people with Down syndrome are happy with their lives, and their families love them. Families deserve truthful information & support. People with Down syndrome deserve to live. They should never be targets for discrimination, inside the womb or out. Period.
