NEW: Washington state has blocked DHS agents from accessing the state’s license plate and driver’s license databases, in an effort to impede immigration enforcement operations and protect illegal aliens from being deported. The move directly puts ICE, HSI, and Border Patrol agents in "danger," as they can no longer determine whether a vehicle's owner has outstanding warrants or poses a public safety risk, officials said. Federal agents now must approach vehicles “blind” with little to no information, placing them in situations that could get them killed — including in known human smuggling and sex trafficking areas operated by the Cartels. ICE sources said a blocked message now pops up on the screen when they search for a subject. It’s worth mentioning that WA state’s sanctuary statute already restricted immigration status in its databases before imposing this new block, which took effect a few days ago.
