Since the Olympic break Michkov has been one of the Flyers better players while being on a 3rd line and still mostly on PP2, he’s not having the season most expected but he’s been a lot better of late and that’s a positive, so I’m very confused why so much hate after one bad game

This is where referee needs to take a step back and not get involved in the game, especially one of this caliber. No need for the first penalty on Porter Martone and absolutely no need for this at all in any circumstance. Cody Beach let his emotions get best of him #LetsGoFlyers

I usually defend the refs to a degree and understand the job is a tough. That said, this is way out of line and frankly an embarrassing look for referee Cody Beach.

One last thing on Porter Martone & referee Cody Beach incident… when you have multiple ex players in the press box talking about never seeing anything like that before, especially to a kid in his second NHL game, should tell you enough to how out of line Beach was #LetsGoFlyers
