‼️Daily Mail = GUTTER PRESS‼️ I understand irresponsible journalism’ is a requirement for them but this article is particularly dangerous. As someone that’s been sober for 7 years next month with previous stints before, it’s this rhetoric below that leads people back to drinking. “It will be different this time” “I will be able to moderate” “I will just drink expensive wine” “I will only drink on a Friday” “I won’t drink alone” “I’m happy now I won’t spiral” Alcohol is exhausting. Addiction is gruelling. It nearly destroyed my life and it’s taken countless people from me that should still be here. Why? Because they tried to negotiate with addiction. These articles distort recovery, sobriety and position it as effortless. I can tell you this for a fact, many people will read this and break their sobriety now. Recovery should never be clickbait.

First it was Indians and Indian-Americans. Now apparently even Indian mangoes have become a target. American Journalist Sara Gonzales has repeatedly pushed hostile rhetoric toward Indians, and now she's attacking one of India's most loved exports.

A liberal federal judge in Rhode Island has ruled that the U.S. government under President Trump does not have the legal authority to restrict immigration from asylum seekers and migrants. The judge claimed the administration was motivated by "anti-immigrant animus." thepostmillennial.com/rhode-island-j…

BREAKING: The Maggie Oliver Foundation (@TMOFCharity), named after the Manchester detective who blew the whistle on grooming gangs, has reversed out of a celebrity fundraiser, blaming its host Ampika Pickston, the OnlyFans model and fiancé of porn baron David Sullivan. ITV was expected to film the gala evening on 1 May as part of Pickston’s starring role in the new series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, which airs later this month. On social media, Maggie Oliver enthusiastically endorsed the £150 ticket event for victims of sexual abuse, which Pickston announced in the first week of April. The former detective was billed as a headline speaker along with “two survivors”. However, last Thursday all the publicity linking the Foundation to the fundraising event came down. Oliver is now distancing herself from 44-year-old Pickston, known for posting semi-naked pictures on social media, and her controversial 77-year-old fiancé, once dubbed ‘The Sultan of Sleaze’. The embarrassing U-turn followed a complaint to the Charity Commission by a woman who the Foundation had previously counselled. The woman, who asked for anonymity, accused the trustees of failing in their due diligence. Trustees voted unanimously to take the action after considering Pickston’s involvement with care homes for vulnerable teenage girls, which Sullivan had bankrolled. @mr_gillard
