@Cybernauut And even if they don't make any changes, plenty of homebrew development has gone into OoT, whether that be randomizers, a PC port with plenty of QoL called Ship of Harkinian, or full-on ROM hacks. So people continue to have options aplenty.

Okay but are we getting Ocarina of Time again exactly as it was with updated graphics and nothing else touched? Or are they expanding upon the story and the world, which will piss off ALL the dude-bros because they ruined the “perfect game”?

@Cybernauut Don't call yourself a hypocrite over something so trivial. It's okay to have nuanced opinions over each game in a franchise. In fact, it's a much healthier perspective to judge each game individually than to just smooth-brain it as "whole franchise good/bad".

@link5261 I suppose I’m a hypocrite. I would love to see a twilight princess remake with more than just the textures updated, so I can see the appeal. But Ocarina as-is (though one of my favorites) feels kind of small for what they’re capable of in a full scale remake.

@Cybernauut What I don't like is the price creep when nothing is added. Like... sure, go ahead and milk your cash cow to republish the game on another system, but I'm just gonna keep playing the older formats on my still-working "legacy" hardware. And then there's emulators... 😏

@link5261 I guess what I’m saying is, what does a remake have to tell if they don’t change anything at all? If they don’t change anything, it’s… fine, I guess? And if it’s different, people are going to throw a fit regardless of if they’re good expansions on the original or not.

@link5261 The “interact with item” button should NOT be the same button as “fling yourself 10 feet to the side.” Especially when part of the intended challenge is staying on the course, indicated by the sections without guardrails.

@YoshiOwO69 I love Spheal in XD, especially the animation of using Charm. So cute! But yeah, as a Walrein, it's a very good bulky water type, and Ice Ball or Blizzard help with Dragons.

@link5261 I find it funny that i just ditched eevee after getting more shadow pokemon back when i had it on the OG Gamecube. Eventually just sticking with Shroomish (Evo to Breloom) and Spheal (evo all the way to Walrein) and kept those two for the entire game (even 4 the final fight)

Imma be straight up, all I remember from the intro was Teddiursa being your first Shadow Pokemon and i barely remember Eevee being your companion xD

@NintendoAmerica I’ll stick with the original Gamecube game bc you can send Pokemon to Bank and then to Home. There’s no point in hunting Eevee at 1/8192 odds if I cannot keep it with me.

@mercenarymaster @NintendoAmerica (2/2) This game pioneered the Gen4 physical/special split by making Shadow Moves behave as either physical or special, rather than lumping them all under one category by type as all other moves up through Gen3 did.

@mercenarymaster @NintendoAmerica It's a medium-sized adventure with simple story, similar to Colosseum that preceded it. Unlike Colosseum, this one runs from starting levels around 5 to an endgame close to 50, similar to mainline games. Similar to Colosseum, most battles are Double Style. (1/2)

@JonesWorld @NintendoAmerica Yes indeed! About 2 hours into the game, when you get to Gateon Port, you can receive your choice of 5 evolution items for Eevee to pick between Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, or Espeon, around level 10!

@DPowerPlays Unless you want to play the self-contained, limited experience of this game portably, just play it on a Wii, Wii U, or PC emulation. All of those options (even an emulation on PC) have better linking support to GBA games.

@NintendoAmerica Incomplete experience if you cannot export the mons or use your teams from the GBA-era games to battle on the TV screen in nice 3D visuals. Also, if you're gonna just reuse the original box art, at least go through the effort of removing the "Get Connected" icon that now lies.
