SML was reportedly “closing gaps” in petroleum volumes. Data from one government system, integrated via an API into another government system, somehow still required a third party to provide assurance that the two data sources matched. The state paid millions for this, and it all turned out to be a hoax. The state is now playing catch-up to recover the losses. I have already noted some flags with this new Publican AI system that is reportedly delivering impressive early results. The “gap” as we are being told in this case is that billions of dollars leave the country in the name of trade, while lower values of goods are declared, suggesting possible under-declaration. The first thing that comes to mind is that not all funds leaving the country are for goods. Some are for service payments, debt servicing, and other legitimate financial transactions that do not involve declaring physical goods. On that basis, the “gap” may be significantly overestimated. There are already claims of strong results. The GRA reports that customs revenue increased by nearly 50% within two weeks of implementation. This raises questions about whether customs revenue is consistent every two weeks and whether seasonality plays a role. With industry players already raising concerns about overcharging, it’s unclear whether this revenue increase can be considered a reliable measure of success without a proper audit of the AI system’s assessments. But yet the public square is filled with this incredible success. SML had that too. And we are talking about the same GRA. Publican is software from a startup called Ultra Information Solutions, based on publicly available information. Who exactly is Truedare Investment Services, the entity the Government of Ghana contracted to deliver this solution? Middlemen? I am yet to see any publicly available technical report demonstrating the need for this system to complement ICUMS. Is ICUMS not designed to perform these functions? And is Ghana Link not capable of incorporating “AI features” into ICUMS? These are my initial observations.

I had lots of mixed feelings reading this. I remember when I arrived Canada, I asked hubby, all these years you've been alone, how's sex life? I noticed that whenever he says he's coming, she will make nice dishes of food, veggies, and upon arrival, they always kissed right before me, I'll just sigh... because he once lived in France and Montreal, so he speaks French fluently, and he said that's the culture, guest kissed, Lagos babe wey no Sabi. No woman should be made to go through that stress in her marriage, not when she's doing her best to make her marriage work. Men should respect their wives enough to set healthy boundaries around opposite sex. Having a woman that will give you all" is priceless. Not all will stay, those who talks about it or complain aren't morally unwise or weak. Some women are fine with polygamy but not all women. Know who you marry and please be an intentional man in your marriage. She deserves to tell a story of you never cheating on her too. Peace.
