Woke up on my birthday last Saturday to the onset of war. Heart has been heavy since. I don't have anything clever to post or add to the discussion. I pray for peace and civility. I know second hand the effects of war. I come from a military family and owned a business that hired predominantly veterans. Wars may be fought abroad, but the pains remain for too long at home. Our cofounder was in Afghanistan and his sleeping quarters was bombed, killing some of his friends/bunk mates. Survivor guilt still runs deep. My heart bleeds for innocent civilians in foreign lands. I do not pretend to understand the justifications nor deny the privileges being an American civilian affords. Nor do i deny evil exists. My hope for our civilization is to move past war. It is imperative to remove this construct of yesteryear. I know its not an easy solution with varying interest and entities. Just feel like most people I know have only been negatively impacted and time to evolve. Nor do I enjoy a small group of people deciding the fate of nations.

I think NFTs will be a lot like early baseball cards. So many will be lost over time, at a similar rate. Yes, the mechanics change, but human nature does not. So in 2050, how many of a 10,000 collection remain? Now after your kids or maybe theirs have passed away in 2100. What about in 2500?

I am grateful for AI & Crypto. We are at a time in history where the barrier to entry is zeroing. No you wont be as far behind the early investors want you to believe, nor will it be some Terminator dystopian. Humans are becoming super heroes. Yes, there are logical concerns. It's imperative not to view it from an investors standpoint. You will not be left behind b/c you aren't in a cap table or not spending every waking hour masterbating to your agents. Many smart people are developing new technologies that will fundamentally change the world. Notice the recent immense leap forward in biotechnology. There's a real possibility we will not only add to our lifespans, but eradicate diseases that have impacted all of our communities. Humans have figured stuff out for millennia... Shit, we lived in fucking caves during the ice ages. I am much more concerned at the concentration/corruption of wealth/power, and the resulting inequities/unrest. How we use these amazing new tools will be true test. Do we build drone armies or do we build drone educators/doctors/etc? Evil is real, but Good is the more powerful force. Choosing not to be afraid anymore and I'll implore you to do the same. Be curious, but perspective is key.

Bullish on Philosophy & Leaders. As AI disrupts the grind culture. Theoretically, more idleness = more time to think about the larger things in life. Return to Plato, Socrates, Aristotle. And if many "skills" are disrupted, leadership will remain insulated. While I think its a skill that can be harnessed, its simply a god given talent/curse. Can you lead from the front lines and take the lashes for the preservation of the whole? People often glamorize leadership, but in my experience its more of a pain tolerance exercise of putting yourself and ego last.
