Ryan Poles has only traded up in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft once. He moved up for Tyrique Stevenson in 2023.
Really feel like the #Bears should've traded up to land Gabe Jacas. Once T.J. Parker and Zion Young were off the board, they should've secured an EDGE, IMO.

I get being confident in younger players like Austin Booker and Shemar Turner. There's upside in both.
But when the last two Super Bowl winners have led the charge with dominant DL play, I don't like taking that risk without a good backup plan. The #Bears don't have that yet.

Ryan Poles expressed a positive outlook with the Bears' plan along the D-line despite not using any of their top 4 picks to aid the pass rush. Poles: "At the defensive line position, Book’s coming along with Dayo, Sweat, Shemar. We feel good about those guys. Obviously we have one more day, so we can continue to add. But like what that group is and what they’re becoming and we feel like there is some developmental upside and like I said yesterday, with Year 2 in the system, we should be able to take the next step."
