@PollTracker2024 Total publicity stunt - interesting how he does this when he’s running for governor. Fox “News” will serve this up as tidbits for months. All based on the “evidence” from some rando citizen group, totally made up. This guy should be fired and arrested for this stunt.

@JeffRoushPoetry Mike Lee is a liar. And he shamelessly knows it. He keeps referring to "page 12, line 22" as his big answer for everything when he knows very well it is unclear what special processes will be approved. The whole thing is an unconstitutional voter suppression bill.

So, in short, Mike Lee is wrong, and I believe he knows he is wrong. Using the Trumpian approach of lying with added belligerence doesn’t make the lie less of a lie. But since he’s never really been pro-democracy, this should surprise no one. theguardian.com/us-news/2020/o…

The text does allow for an affidavit, signed under penalty of perjury, along with other—but unspecified—evidence sufficient to the local official to establish that the person is a U.S. citizen. So as to Lee’s point 3, this isn’t abundantly clear on what is sufficient at all.

@DarrigoMelanie The need for ID is a lie. The Save act includes a requirement that all states turn over their voter rolls to DHS. This isn't about protecting the vote, this is about ending the vote.

For shits and giggles, I decided to see just how hard it would be to replace my birth certificate, Social Security card, AND my marriage license, since Democrats think women are too stupid to figure it out. Here's how it went: 1. Birth certificate: Contacted the health department of the county where I was born. They OVERNIGHTED a certified copy to me the next day - total cost, $14. 2. SS Card: Contacted Social Security on their site. They asked if I was sure I needed the card, since I 'won't likely be asked for it.' I went ahead and got it - took five business days to arrive - total cost, $0. 3. Marriage License: Went to the 'vital docs' site of the county where we were hitched. Filled everything out online, arrived in three days - total cost, $5. It cost less than $20 to obtain all three certified/legal documents, and it took less than five business days to receive them. Note: if I had lived where I was born or married, it would have been a day. Tops. Anyone telling you this is too hard or unfair is lying and hiding the real reason they want to stop Voter ID. I know you guys knew that already... lol
