@therealnedbrady @Mahcus_Smaht I don't think ownership sees it that way. I think they want to minimize taxes while staying competitive and see Jaylen’s contract as a way to save money, especially since some advanced analytics rate him poorly for his cost.

@Cs_Confidential No. $30/yr at the center seems too high for a player of Allen's performance at this position. However, it's worth considering. I believe DWhite is declining, and Boston may be asking too much of him currently. He’s better suited to a team where he's less relied upon offensively.

@JamCristopher I get your point but media wasn’t that fragmented yet in 08 when Drake made his big break, although we were on our way there. Drake is as big as his now because he broke towards the end of monoculture. Same for Kendrick or Cole.

Drake isn’t close to Michael Jackson in terms of popularity. But it’s such a different time now than it was back then. Monoculture is all but gone. Michael Jackson wouldn’t be as big as Michael Jackson if he popped off in 09.

I don’t think this is Drake specific. I’m not convinced album reviews and critics hold much weight to the general public now. People aren’t being swayed by the media as a whole anymore with negative reviews across film or music.
