This sucks. Peak Bar Pilar is on my personal all time favorite DC restaurants list. If I were to open my own restaurant (which would fail before opening) it would be inspired by Pilar.

Damn-After nearly 21 years (opened iMarch 2005, though there has been ownership change since), 14th Street stalwart Bar Pilar is closing Saturday because they can’t afford to pay their Covid deferred back rent. Prob first grown-up bar in DC I went to, felt edge of DC nightlife
