The UK controlled Iran's oil for decades getting 84% of the profits. When Iran tried to take it back in 1951 The CIA & MI6 launched a coup. They overthrew democracy, restored the Shah, and secured the oil. That's the real history they don't teach.

The height of hypocrisy is a secular politician talking about "freedom of religion" while his state represents the greatest identity theft in history. Our purpose is to safeguard our co-religionists from the secular overreach of your regime. Today, hundreds of thousands of religious Jews are denied such basic rights as freedom of religion by the very state you claim is our protector. True peace and stability won't come from your political alliances or military might, it comes from the Torah you seek to replace with secular nationalism. Stop using our identity to shield your secular ideology.

Emma, I am so happy I went to a Church of England School and I learned the parables. Children die in war but the most beautiful girls in the world are being raped before being hanged for showing their hair. You are the Nazi. You are the scum all our boys went to war with in 1939. We will win with Donald J Trump's help you pathetic muslim sympathiser. You are the Nazi's.

It is reported that the downed fighter aircraft was from USAF Lakenheath in Suffolk. Is there any media curiosity as to what it was doing before it was shot down? Are Ministers content to allow UK bases to be used to help bomb Iran 'back to the Stone Age'? theguardian.com/world/2026/apr…

Our fight has been 16 yrs long 2 owners ( speculators bought to get planning to raise the price ) and the latest buyer went into administration due to allegations of fraud and a Ponzi scheme! so it’s in the hands of administrators who with a consultancy group are trying to greenwash their plans to destroy penrhos and create a 500 chalet , 1000 space car park closing off the site to the Public after 50 yrs of continuous access to the paths around penrhos Planning permission expires on the 19th of April they want to continue the planning permission so it’s in place when penrhos gets sold on by an estate agent to developers. we as a cic want to purchase as a community woodland to protect all our flora and fauna in perpetuity

Offshore & onshore: we should use it all. Lower prices, jobs and growth. I have said for years: approve Rosebank, Jackdaw and others. Lincolnshire has produced oil for decades and has huge gas reserves. US gas price stayed the same during Iran war as produced domestically. UK gas price has soared 60% due to large imports. Extracting our own gas will lower prices and bring bills down.

In case you missed it... Great conversation with Andrew Marr at @LBC last week, on the dark money network funding populist politicians. £173 million. Five years. Four donors, two based offshore. This is the dark money buying British politics, pouring cash into media companies, think tanks, and populist parties. The public has a right to know who is bankrolling our democracy, and the Rycroft Review is a serious step towards reining it in. Why Populists Are Winning - and How to Beat Them, is out now. JUST IN: Iran’s Foreign Minister posted five sentences on X on April 4 that should have stopped every government in the Gulf. “Israel-U.S. have bombed our Bushehr plant four times now. Radioactive fallout will end life in GCC capitals, not Tehran.” He compared it to Western outrage over Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine and accused the attackers of double standards. The IAEA confirmed the fourth strike: a projectile hit near the site, one guard killed, a support building damaged. No radiation increase was detected. The containment held. This time. The physics of why the fallout would reach Riyadh and not Tehran is geography that no amount of diplomacy can change. Bushehr sits on the Persian Gulf coast at 28 degrees north. Tehran is 750 kilometres inland, shielded by the Zagros Mountains. The prevailing winter winds blow from the northwest to the southeast, directly across the Gulf toward the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The anticlockwise surface currents of the Gulf carry waterborne radionuclides westward and northwestward toward the head of the Gulf, reaching Kuwait and Bahrain within approximately 15 days according to peer-reviewed hydrodynamic simulations. Atmospheric dispersion models run 3,652 HYSPLIT simulations for a Bushehr release scenario and found that deposition exceeding relocation thresholds reached Gulf coastal areas with low but non-zero probability. The plume does not go north. It goes west. The reactor sits on Iran’s coast but the fallout belongs to the Gulf. This matters because the Gulf states get their drinking water from the Gulf. Qatar relies on desalination for 99 percent of its supply. Kuwait and Bahrain for 90 percent. Saudi Arabia for 70. The UAE for 42. Desalination plants draw intake directly from the Gulf. If that water carries Caesium-137 or Iodine-131, the plants shut down or the output is contaminated. Gulf states maintain roughly one week of strategic water reserves. A Bushehr breach would not produce a Chernobyl explosion. It would produce something the models describe as worse for the region: a slow, invisible contamination of the water supply that 60 million people depend on, arriving by current over two weeks, with seven days of reserves to outlast it. The countries that would be contaminated are the same countries hosting the forces conducting the strikes. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar launches the sorties. Al Dhafra in the UAE stages the overflow troops sleeping in hotels. Bahrain’s 5th Fleet headquarters coordinates the naval component. Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base, where an E-3 AWACS was destroyed on the ground by Iranian fire on March 27, sits in the Eastern Province that the fallout models identify as a primary deposition zone. The allies are hosting the bombers. The bombers are hitting the reactor. The reactor sits on the coast of the water the allies drink. And the enemy is the one warning them. Araghchi’s message was not aimed at Washington. It was aimed at Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Doha, Manama, and Kuwait City. The subtext is not subtle: you are hosting the war that could poison your water. The IAEA says no radiation has been released. The containment has held through four strikes. But containment is engineering, not physics. Engineering can fail. And when Araghchi says “not Tehran,” he is stating a geographic fact that the Gulf Cooperation Council cannot dismiss regardless of how many times the IAEA says the readings are normal. The reactor is not near Tehran. It is near them. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

In a result that few of us saw coming, Reform UK is now leading in Cardiff and South East Wales with 25% of the vote. Winning over the urban heart of Wales shows that the message of common sense resonates from the valleys to the city centers.

They came to divide the room… the room disagreed. In June 1943, the village of Bamber Bridge became the site of a violent clash between American troops stationed in Britain. At the time, the U.S. Army was still segregated, but British society was not. Local pubs openly served Black and white soldiers together, and many residents saw no reason to follow American racial policies. This created tension the moment U.S. Military Police tried to enforce segregation on foreign soil. The situation escalated when Military Police entered a pub to arrest Black soldiers. Locals immediately intervened, questioning why segregation was being imposed in their town. The confrontation spilled into the streets as more troops were called in. Armed units surrounded the area, and what began as an attempted arrest turned into a chaotic exchange of gunfire between American personnel, involving both Black soldiers and Military Police. The incident, later known as the Battle of Bamber Bridge, exposed a major cultural divide. British civilians largely rejected segregation, while the U.S. Army was still enforcing it within its ranks. The clash forced American command to address internal tensions and rethink how these policies played out overseas. It remains one of the clearest examples of how local resistance challenged segregation during the war. 📷 : only for reference © Witty Historian #archaeohistories

I was literally about to post about this. My friend in Singapore told me his colleagues trading crude are seeing aggressive bids from Asia for any crude and LNG supply already on water. Not surprisingly many tankers initially routed to Europe changed course to Asia. He thinks because of this dynamic the shortages in Europe might become even more acute soon than what’s already expected. We also had a brief chat about physical silver, one of the metals he trades directly, and he is seeing the market for physical right now as tight as December with a lot of inventories dismissing offers even at 20$+ premium vs spot. I asked him to comment about no moves whatsoever for physical silver at the Comex last Thursday and he believes some inventory moves might not have been accounted for. Comex will be ok till end of April when the May contract will increase pressure again especially when demand from China didn’t slow down at all in the past few months.

Let the fuel bidding war begin. Vortexa data shows six diesel tankers from the US Gulf Coast en route to Europe who diverted toward the South Atlantic on 2 April. Destination unclear: SA, Asia or both.
