@ChrisKeall Seeing that with uni students here in Dunedin. Anyone starting in 2020 (like my wife) have effectively been doing a distance learning degree for much of their degree.

Our teens back to school today. Support Covid containment measures but also feel sorry for them for losing large parts of what are some of the best years of your life. The pandemic has hit some age groups a lot differently than others

And one more thing. As strong as you feel about what happens and your opinions. It is never acceptable to DM a person telling them to kill themselves. And to the sender of that message to me, please get help.

I also hope that the political parties also have a look at their internal party cultures and sort it out. The arrogance and falls from grace reminds me on an All Blacks side circa 2007. Take a hard look at the culture and fix it.

Yesterday I came out supporting a certain MP following what I thought was a heartfelt press release and an act of vulnerability. I think there is that in there, but primarily using it to cover up unsolicited lewd acts is unacceptable. I hope said person gets help.

After a day of hard work, and social media to & fro around mental health, here's my cat to cheer you up. Feeling down and overwhelmed is OK. Asking for help is OK. Please don't let today's excuse stop you for asking for needed support.

@Biddy_Sue You got the house before the sofa right? Friends first got the sofa, then the house. Had to give houses they wanted to buy a miss due to the size layout of lounger relative to their couch.

Recently changed electricity companies, which was harder and more expensive than planned. Talk about financially throwing their toys when you leave! Seriously, they should learn some lessons from the likes of @SparkNZ, who are much easier to deal with when changing providers.

Dunedin locals - we are hosting a pizza night to help people, particularly recent arrivals (weeks, months, years), meet and make new connections. We're keeping it alert level 2 friendly, and supporting a local business. Come along!

Tried out @getmentemia over lockdown out of curiosity and to see if my lockdown mood would improve from being a grumpy, lazy bum. Really cool app for maintaining good mental health. Thanks for the virtual support during what's been a testing time.
