TCGショップ。冷静に考えて「子供の笑顔が集まる店」は僕が全国巡業していた15年前には沢山成立していたのですが、現在ではごく限られた場所でしか再現できません。 探せば今でも子供の集まる地域はあるにはありますが、採算の取れる場所は非常にレアです。 僕はコロナ突入と同時に爆速で、カードキングダムの象徴的な店であった練馬春日店を閉店させましたが、それはコロナが収束しても将来性がないと判断したからでした。 最近僕が話している「α世代」は本質的な意味で従来のTCGをプレイしません。誰もやらないという話ではなく、以前は全員がTCGに触れて、「みんなが遊んでいるもの」でしたが、今は囲碁や将棋のような一部の子供が深く楽しむ趣味なっていると考えてよいでしょう。 なので現在は、気のいい大人のオタクが集まれる店を経営する事を楽しめる人か、完全効率重視で商才のある人が、TCGショップ経営に向いているのではないでしょうか。 （写真は約15年前の大阪布施店。右奥に僕）
