@Coach_Yac @MikeGarafolo This guy routinely shows up in the second round of many of my drafts

@Coach_Yac Another case of look at the total cost of acquistion, last year of contract and giving up a high pick to boot. You'd have to have a new contract in place before pulling the trigger, for sure.

Fox Sports proposed this trade idea between the 49ers and Steelers:
49ers receive:
OLB Nick Herbig
Steelers receive:
2026 second-round pick (58th)
2027 conditional fifth-round pick
“Their pass rush was completely punchless last season, with Bryce Huff leading the team with just four sacks. They are hopeful that both Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams will be healthy and back in their old form next season, but they could use another body in the rotation. Herbig, 24, is stuck in a rotation behind T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith in Pittsburgh and in the final year of his contract. He had 13 sacks in a limited role over the past two seasons and would be well worth the high pick it would probably cost for the Steelers to swap him.”

@Coach_Yac @_noahfurtado Keep an eye open for that Masses kid from Cal, This DB comes to play & is serious as a heart attack

Nick Wagoner: “Re-signing Trent Williams will not preclude the 49ers from looking to draft an offensive tackle if one of the top guys fall to their pick at number 27. In an ideal world for the 49ers, they’d like to find someone they could plug in at left guard or at least compete for that job as a rookie and then be a long term replacement at one of the tackle spots.”

@Coach_Yac Do the 49ers have to sell Levis Stadium to get him?

CBS Sports lists the 49ers as the team that needs to trade for Myles Garrett the most:
“With Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams suffering season-ending injuries, the 49ers recorded the fewest sacks in 2025 (20) and averaged the fewest sacks per game (1.18) by a playoff team in NFL history. Kyle Shanahan and then-defensive coordinator Robert Saleh were able to patchwork their way through to a 12-5 regular season record and an NFC divisional round appearance. However, the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks showed how big of a gap there truly was between the divisional round and the Super Bowl by walloping them 41-6.
San Francisco has the eighth-most effective cap space in the league at $26.4 million, and they’re already down the 2026 third-round pick after acquiring Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa this offseason. San Francisco might be able to thread the needle and both acquire Garrett in a package led by their 27th overall pick in 2026 and draft a few other players this year. The 49ers need to go for it with running back Christian McCaffrey turning 30 on June 7, wide receiver Mike Evans turning 33 on Aug. 21 and left tackle Trent Williams turning 38 on July 19. Garrett would solidify their defense in a way that would allow them to compete with Seattle and the Rams for NFC supremacy.”

Bleacher Report’s trade idea between the 49ers and Giants:
49ers receive:
Dexter Lawrence
Giants receive:
2026 2nd-rounder
2026 4th-rounder
Brandon Aiyuk
“In March, the 49ers made a move to beef up the interior of their defensive front, trading a 2026 third-rounder to the Dallas Cowboys for Osa Odighizuwa. Perhaps San Francisco isn’t done trying to revamp the unit under new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. Keep in mind that Alfred Collins had a quiet rookie campaign, logging 17 tackles (one for loss) and a sack. With a healthy Nick Bosa and 2025 first-rounder Mykel Williams on the edge, Lawrence and Odighizuwa would round out what could be an above-average defensive line.
San Francisco could also find an opportunity to move on from Brandon Aiyuk in a trade instead of outright releasing him. 49ers owner Jed York and head coach Kyle Shanahan gave the impression that the team could keep Aiyuk, but it’s difficult to envision the receiver repairing his relationship with the club amid a lack of communication.
The Giants signed wide receiver Darnell Mooney and pass-catching tight end Isaiah Likely in free agency, but they could help second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart tremendously by bringing in a talented receiver who racked up over 1,300 yards in 2023. If Aiyuk and Malik Nabers are both healthy after suffering serious knee injuries, they could be a premier receiver tandem.”

@Coach_Yac Needs some seasoning but is an interesting prospect
English

Peter Schrager’s latest mock draft from talking to sources and gathering intel at the league meeting, has the 49ers selecting OT Caleb Lomu at #27

English

@Coach_Yac That’s the draft capital but he’s reportedly unhappy with his contract as well.
English

@Coach_Yac @Connor_J_Hughes What's his contract status? I understand he is unhappy with his curent deal.

Potential trade offers for Giants DL Dexter Lawrence
• A late 2026 1st round pick
• A 2027 1st round pick
• A 2nd and 5th round pick
Should the 49ers trade pick #27 for Lawrence?

@Coach_Yac @Easton__Butler Man that Local Pro Day would be something I'd really like to attend.

Western Kentucky LB Dominic Oliver was invited to the 49ers Local Pro Day
The 49ers Local Pro Day will be held on April 8th

@Coach_Yac @MySportsUpdate I beleive they are sweating out Joey to get a lower priced deal than the 15M he got with the Bills
English

The 49ers have roughly $30M in cap space
Per: @MySportsUpdate
It’s time to add Joey Bosa to the Dline

English

@Coach_Yac It’s a 2 minute drill. Draft coming very soon BA knows the teams will be looking at WRs in the draft. If Washington doesn’t grab one early he’s likely to be in the move. If Washington blinks early then u think it gets wrapped up either right before the draft or during
English

Matt Barrows on Brandon Aiyuk:
“The logic is simple: If a team is interested in Aiyuk’s services — and spending as much time with him this spring as possible — it can trade the 49ers a draft pick. Why would the 49ers do a team that they compete with a favor by handing Aiyuk over for free now? Perhaps they’ll release him after the draft if they can’t find a suitor by then. But San Francisco can wait much longer if it wants to — the team doesn’t owe Aiyuk anything until his option bonus is due September 1st.”
Barrows on where he expects BA to land:
“The Commanders are seen as the logical team to grab Aiyuk because of his familiarity with Peters from their time with the 49ers and quarterback Jayden Daniels from when they were teammates at Arizona State.”
