First question many people will have is, how does this signature secure the transaction. Well, right now - it doesn't. But remember that the entire premise of distributed ledgers like Dogecoin is consensus. Think about it in the other direction. Someone could build a Dogecoin client that accepted spends without any of the present-day cryptographic checks as well - but transactions made by that variety of client wouldn't be accepted by the majority of the network (lack of consensus), and would not be valid. The same goes for a PQC signature; essentially it would be a UASF where the majority of the nodes on the network decided that a valid signature like this must check out before a transaction is accepted as valid. It wouldn't require an overhaul; just agreement on the majority of the network that the post-quantum signature attached to the transaction has to be valid for the transaction to be valid. If Falcon-512 works as it should, that portion could not be spoofed, cracked, or manipulated by quantum systems; the PQC shared/consensus proof validation would not pass. Not saying this is the final answer, but that work is ongoing.
Ed Tubbs@EdTubbs

We've been running experiments on Dogecoin mainnet where we attach a post-quantum proof (using Falcon-512 and similar quantum-safe signatures) to normal Dogecoin transactions. Here's how it works: - We create a normal transaction like you would when sending DOGE. - We add a small commitment (a short fingerprint of the quantum-safe signature) using an OP_RETURN message. This is called TX_C (commitment). - We also create a tiny temporary carrier output that holds just 1 DOGE. - Then in a second transaction called TX_R (reveal), we spend that carrier and show the full post-quantum public key plus signature right on the blockchain. The 1 DOGE comes straight back to the original address (minus a small fee). This lets us prove on-chain that a quantum-safe signature was created for the transaction, without changing how Dogecoin works today. The extra carrier step is completely optional. The small commitment alone is enough for most testing. We're still in the early experimental phase, but it's exciting to see real post-quantum proofs appearing on mainnet. Work is happening in the libdogecoin repo with testing tools and a BIP draft ready if anyone wants to look or help. cc @michilumin @KBluezr @DogecoinFdn @tjstebbing

📢 An Important Message to Our Community. Effective immediately, Dogecoin is undergoing a full corporate restructuring. We are proud to introduce: DogeCoin Financial Solutions LLC™ As part of this transition, we will be: ▪ Retiring the Shiba Inu logo in favour of a tasteful navy blue emblem ▪ Launching a 67-page whitepaper titled 'Toward a Synergistic Decentralized Liquidity Framework' ▪ Rebranding our community from 'the Doge army' to 'Stakeholders' ▪ Discontinuing use of the words 'wow', 'much', and 'very' across all communications ▪ Scheduling the moon for FY26 Q3 Our legal team has advised us not to say 'wow.' as it has been determined to be a forward-looking statement (that should not be taken as financial advice.) We believe this pivot positions DogeCoin Financial Solutions LLC™ for maximum enterprise scalability and shareholder value optimization going forward. The dog is still here. She is wearing a tie now. She did not consent to this. — The DogeCoin Financial Solutions LLC™ Board of Directors

Ok. I'm not going to go into this more than once, since it's absolutely ridiculous and has been crazy talk for years. Since the (absolutely weak) supposition of "lack of response is suspicious" in recent published "fan fictions" 1) Yes, I've run the SecondLife furry community Luskwood for 21 years, and still do. Luskwood is PG-rated, and does not permit adult content. Being one of the only NON adult furry areas on SL is what we're known for. Yep, a lot of that goes on in many furry communities. Luskwood does not exist to service that demographic. 2) Yes, "ScentualLust" aka (apparently - 'pimpuigi', I didn't know him under that name at all) frequented MANY furry communities, including Luskwood, and for years was a "hanger on" trying to get close to the administration of both of the communities I run (Luskwood and Trotsdale.) 3) I considered Scentual/"Pimpuigi" to be *personally, a stalker of mine*, as he was continually pushing unwanted sexual overtures at me. Most of my interactions were at a screaming volume and telling him I wanted nothing to do with his fetishes and fantasies. But *he was infatuated with my character online*. 4) I have NO idea what he did or did not do with people of various ages. I was not "interactive" with his sexual trysts - his (ex?) wife seemed upset, often, with his obsession with my character and did purport that he did some 'bad stuff' with underage people. I have NO IDEA if this actually happened, and certainly wasn't even marginally participatory in it. 5) In regards to his ex and her claim that I engaged in misconduct with her: I simply did not. I met her briefly once after being invited to meet their pets, who they were travelling with. During this meeting, they made efforts to engage me in a level of interaction I was very uncomfortable with, as these were two people I was not very close with. After this, and then having to witness an argument between the two of them for about 20 minutes, I took the first opportunity I had to excuse myself and leave. The entire meeting was deeply uncomfortable and I frankly had no desire to stay. 6) Hundreds of people who know me, know that Scentual/ "pimpuigi" was someone I had a hard time tolerating, was often repulsed by, and kept at arms length. Whatever he did in his personal life, I was not looped in on, and did not want to be looped in on. 7) John Inubook and friends are using this "association makes for suspicious questions" appearance out of convenience. But it is outright, slander and defamatory. And that CAN be proven. The more people try to "investigate" these occurrences the more they'll find out I was not involved in any of them, and these people are taking a risk by putting down on 'paper' accusations that are completely and utterly false. All based on gossip, and people with strong ulterior motives. 8) Yes, I'm trans. For many years, I've been afraid to come out - because of Elon's feelings on it, and much of the cryptosphere. Some of the reasons here are on display on social media. (Supposing LGBTQ people 'go after kids' is almost a trope, and a well worn go-to. And it's BS.) 9) My ONLY focus in working with the Dogecoin Foundation is furthering technical developments on LibDogecoin and RadioDoge. (and soon dashb0rd and Core Greenfields Experimental.) I do not have any stake in or interest in validation methods, or business deals. (Nor have I received ANY payments from corporate partners. If their stock goes up, I get ... nothing.) I consider it a vector that I can use to further community ecosystem projects and that's all. 10) The "dogecoin" main has not been 'only me' for quite a long time. For a while, it was. It has not "changed hands", but we use Buffer, and a LOT of other groups do too. I have always been open about wanting community people to give me leads to post on the dogecoin main. It seems to not happen. But all anyone has to do is ask, and if its pertinent to dogecoin and not meant to 'stir drama', I'd be happy to forward it. Please. Send community leads and posts. 11) I absolutely believe that Dogecoin needs to stay consensus-based, open-source, not controlled by central entities. The way I look at is, if the Foundation does something people like, they'll go with it. If they don't, they won't. That's why I feel any attempts on PoS are iffy and not much to worry about. Consensus has to change that. A group cannot force that. (And shouldn't.) I am personally ambivalent about a validation (PoS vs PoW) change, but I do believe that PoW has become overly centralized over the years, and ALL cryptos may need a solution down the line. But not soon, and not urgently. And as I've said, PoS is not "definitely" the answer. 12) I also believe that the ecosystem needs to be backed and built, and that some people working full time trying to expand the ecosystem is beneficial and not 'centralizing'. It just allows them to dedicate more life and time to it, which needs to happen if dogecoin acceptance is going to spread. I'm always open to talk about dogecoin's direction, and want to be open on the matter; but as far as the allegations discussed above, I will NOT be entertaining replies, and I will NOT be speaking further on the matter. These suppositions and allegations lodged at me are absolutely and categorically false. I'm tired of remaining quiet and being chased out of these spaces due to made up fantasies that 'sound lecherous and juicy'. They're wholly incorrect, and that's all I have to say on the matter. But I do understand it's much more fun and much more exciting to believe the soap opera, even if it's fiction. And make no mistake, it is fiction.

Really good to see some UI/UX polish being put on this and configuration organization. Thanks @inevitable360 for working on this. It should all be available in the repo soon. Eventually the goal is for #RadioDoge to be easy to set up and use ad-hoc like this.

With this imminent, and the upcoming FOMO in the US with the #djimini5pro release happening "everywhere but here" in the US; @Ford and @Chrysler - you're missing your shot. Think a Mini 5 pro competitor, steel body, gasoline powered with a small inline 6. It can even deploy cupholders upon landing. Payload attachment can be a 2 5/16" ball hitch. Seize the opportunity already.

gotta admit that 'who's up at the crack of Don' post by the @litecoin intern sent me, and has inspired me going forward. However much everything after that will seem like a cheap imitation. Certain things should be enshrined, and I need to give credit where credit is due.

To everyone messaging me "i can promot ur projeckt" ... Here's my project. In the western hemisphere, autumn is rapidly approaching. In the summer, we see young entrepreneurs putting up lemonade stands, for passers-by to cool off, while these kids engage in their first business venture. I propose as the weather gets colder, young aspiring business-larvae should consider a franchise: the beef gravy stand. Nothing warms your innards when trudging to pick up your seasonal affect medication than stopping on a street corner and taking in a hot, steaming cup of gravy. Bemittened youngins proudly dispensing into Styrofoam(TM) cups from a huge hot electric urn, run by a portable generator to the side. Earn some holiday money AND build cherished memories. There's a business opportunity here. Promoters, send your reels.

@fantoumi @LabatWilfried Just want to say, that your feedback on this has been heard and is being discussed. And that it's valuable, so thank you. This is an early release, and thankfully it's software, so it's malleable. I fully concur that the prime directive here should be making the dogebox easily configurable by an **average shibe** and without expecting any developer context. (Though advanced pups and apps will certainly be available.) So hopefully we can iterate on this as we move forward. I cannot understate how strongly I want to highlight that this sort of feedback is vital to the project.

oops. hit enter too soon. Look at the blue LED. Even if you think they're overused (and they are, on their own) - they've enabled all kinds of display and laser technologies for us and pushed research into GaN electronics. But when it was originally proposed at RCA by Tietjen and Maruska in the 1970s, it was pretty much soundly rejected by the market. (Even though they got it working, spending a couple of years at it.) Decades had to pass before the "landscape" was ready for it. So I don't think the answer is "don't even try", but just be prepared for the time and place to be wrong. That can almost never be predicted. Sometimes it lines up. More often, it doesn't.

I think that's kind of how personal projects go though. You can put a lot into it but it'll never guarantee that the uptake and adoption is commeasurate with the effort put in. Sometimes it's just the wrong time and place. Lots of stories of people who came up with ideas that were rejected for *years* until the landscape changed.

Sometimes I wonder if I use words that mean something else to other people. For years I've been saying the same thing, that Dogecoin has an in-build consensus mechanism for change, which is how the community votes on things, that node-operators vote with their feet, based on the software they choose to enforce the protocol they agree with. To me this is the amazing, democratising factor of the blockchain worth celebrating, democracy in it's purest form. For years I've been saying the strength of Dogecoin is in the community running nodes which gives them a vote in that mechanism. In good faith to that mechanism I've tried to build solutions that help more of you run nodes, to give you a voice at that table, so that when new ideas are ready to test, you can do that without 'being technical'. The accusations I receive for this work are the opposite, that my intentions are clearly to force a change, that I'm trying to subvert the community, that I'm taking away your ability to decide.. (I can't even comprehend how that's a logical extrapolation from the work we've done to increase the voting pool in the community.. but ok). Perhaps in trying to be fair to everyone, I lost the only game that matters: the popularity game. Ultimately the proposal we were working on was to bring Dogecoin to global / galactic scalability, with TPS capable of outperforming tradfi rails like VISA/Mastercard, because for Dogecoin to be adopted as a daily use currency that's it's only failing. The laughable part is that 'PoS' was just one interchangeable part of that overall proposal for a utility-focused currency, but it turns out it's a trigger-word for a lot of people. Don't worry, I'll drop it. Message received team 🫡 I'll leave you with this: Institutional demand for a means-of-exchange isn't coming, it's NOW, and crypto currencies that cannot keep up will be discarded faster than you can blink, because at the end of the day a currency that isn't useful for transacting won't exist after the the winnowing that will determine what winners rise to the top. You don't have years to see how it pans out, the panning is going on right now.
Timothy Stebbing@tjstebbing

Billy, I'll be blunt. you swing a big dick when it comes to popularity contests in the Dogecoin community (and that's fair, you started this). What I've been advocating for all along is to assess all proposals on their technical merits, for the benefit of the currency. We even built a fucking linux distro / node management platform dogebox.org so the community could turn-key deploy different ideas and nodes side-by-side and make an educated choice for the future of the coin.. based on the technical consensus mechanism implicit in blockchain: that 51% of nodes are how we vote on change, and we want as many people to make educated choices as possible. In the face of those efforts, there's been endless FUD on reddit and here on X, before we could even get competing options to the post so they could be compared. It's easier to make it a non-technical religious war and win that than build good solutions and let them stand or fall on their merits. But lets be pragmatic, at the end if the day it is a pissing contest and you've just entered the ring, so I concede that at this point there's little value in continuing to invest engineering time in trying to speed up the network via serious consensus change, the Dogecoin community seems happy with 40 transactions a second and imagining that will move the needle as a global currency. I'm going to take a break for a bit. cheers doge.

It was just about the hashrate being higher than it's ever been. (True. But bad messenger.) - pretty much the exact same message as the post that replaced it with a neutrally sourced graph. Upshod is definitely persona non grata. Sometimes it really is just "ooh pretty graph". The one that replaced it is a better looking one anyways.

Yeah. Message was neutral but I personally didn't know who the dude was (or, more accurately, that he was Upshod.) That was an era where "everything was going great until the influencer launched their own coin". And it always turned out badly. I should make my own coin .... that has its value pinned to the price of a pocket fulla' beans. Maximum wallet ownership: whatever won't amount to a 'hill' of said beans.
