I didn't mind it when Gary created a "MATI token" experiment a few months ago using a new token-launching tool from @GoPulseCom. At the same time he had created tokens named after 32 other leaders in the HEX and PulseChain community. Gary clearly explained only 10 of 369M tokens were available on market to send a social signal, but these were never intended to be an investment, or monetary instrument ,or store of value, or gamble. The market agreed. Gary later gave the entire supply of MATI to me for free (369,369,359), outside of the 10 MATI paired with 10 DAI on PulseX. I still plan to never create a token designed for trading and speculation because I think that power leads to high rates of corruption without the right checks and balances. To reinforce the narrative that crypto is a movement that's bigger than money—I'm hereby naming the smallest unit of a MATI token a "NaN" which stands for "not a number". 1 NaN is equal to one quintillionth of a MATI token (same as a "wei" in ETH). It's the 18th decimal place, or 0.000000000000000001 MATI. 1 NaN literally has 0 value or worse: it costs PLS for me to send it, LUL. I can imagine a future where I publish 1 NaN of MATI sent directly from Mati.pls to use my free speech to write a list of addresses I believe in. Having a NaN sent directly from Mati.pls is different than buying one on the market for several reasons. 🧾 Anyone looking at the blockchain can see NaN from Mati.pls are a unique user set, 🧾 Mati.pls sending 1 NaN is more expensive than its zero value due to PLS gas costs, 🧾 NaN from Mati.pls are sent only to future addresses that don't exist yet. *spits out coffee* Wait, what?! That's right folks. I can send to an address that I can prove you can choose to create in the future but that doesn't exist yet.
