Yesterday I got arrested whilst filming a @JustStop_Oil supporter holding a banner on the pavement near the coronation route. I'm a filmmaker and had my @BECTU press accreditation visible around my neck. Police deemed this to be "conspiracy to commit a public nuisance".

@j4 @LabLinda75 @Authologist Gosh is Oxford that frightening for pedestrians and cyclists? I live in Brixton, never learnt to drive and took turns with my partner to walk/cycke our son to primary school every day for years. Neither of us ever felt threatened by drivers en route. Maybe Oxford is different

I've deleted an earlier quotetweet as I don't want anyone to think I am condoning vandalism, which is wrong. The issue is that the county council should not be surprised by these acts. The level of anger in the community about the heavy handed imposition of these schemes is high.
